Tsitp- a trauma story

Maddy had been driving for hours until she say the entrance sign welcoming her to cousins

Her chest felt a little heavy knowing that she was going to have to face susannah, jere, Steven, belly, laurel and of course Conrad

The last summer she spent in cousins she spent it absolutely obsessed over Conrad fisher. A boy she knew would never see her as more than a family friend

It was a bit funny to maddy to think as she drove by the beach to the fisher house that she used to think that a boy was the most important thing in her life. Now nothing was that important to her. Nothing exactly mattered to maddy she just wanted to feel normal again but pot makes you feel anything but normal.

Pot was an escape from reality for her. Since her mother died and her father disappeared on her pot was her only friend since all her other so called friends totally abandoned her

She had only recently started smoking again since her injuries were healed and she was released from the hospital but vaping was more her thing now

And there it was

The fishers house.

As she drove up the driveway she saw the conklins car full of food and she chuckled to herself. Because that was laurel. She didn't have as much money as the fishers but she acted like she did because she didn't want susannah to have to pay for everything like she did a lot of summers

Maddy turned her car off stopping her music that had been distracting her on the drive. And she sat there contemplating weather or not to turn the car back on and race down the intersection. But before she could decide the fishers raced out the house excited to see her.

She quickly collected herself to find jere sticking his head through the car window to tell maddy to get out and hug him.

Jere swung the car door open to let maddy out and as soon as she stepped out jere swooped her up into his arms squealing and spinning her around

"Haha jere i get it you missed me you can put me down now" maddy said while laughing at jeres childish actions. In all fairness jere looked 18 but acted 12. Thats just what gives him his personality.

"Okay okay" he said placing her down "its been so long i miss your mango smell" jere said while taking a section of Maddy's hair a swiftly smelling it

"Okay well i can see your still obsessed with me jere but you know i have to many fans its just a bit to much now babes" maddy teasingly says to jere being sarcastic as she always is

Maddy took a deep breath as her and jere walked to the rest of the family not exactly ready to face them as she knew she was going to get some stares at her scars especially since the ones on her face were so prominent

Susannah was the first to give her a long hug "oh my god its been so long and your so grown up now" saying to her as she holds Maddy's head in her hands and placing the strand of hair that jere untucked behind her ear revealing her scar all the more making her feel a little uncomfortable

After she spoke to everyone for a bit Steven suggested it was time for their annual belly flop where they throw belly in the pool. If maddy was honest belly had become so pretty since the last time she saw her. She knew belly wasn't always the best looking but it had been a while since she last saw her and she was gorgeous for a 17 year old even maddy cant remember being that pretty

Susannah and laurel started unpacking while maddy went back to her car to get her stuff. She sat there taking deep breath's trying to calm herself down as she felt a panic attack coming on but she managed to stop herself. She got her stuff out the car, rolled her window up and locked it when she looked up to see a certain boy staring at her. Conrad. He smiled and she greeted him back with a wave.

Conrad made his way over to maddy the whole time staring at her intensely but only he knew that he was actually admiring her because for as long as he could remember he had been completely head over heels infatuated with her.
