She had a heart of gold, but it was cold as stone
She stood surrounded with the knowledge that she was alone
She had a tongue of silver but it was coated with the deadliest venom
She never struck first, but was a warrior and wielded a weapon
Her smiles were disarming, her spite concerning
Yet she had a greater capacity than most for loving
Her guards never came down even once with the sun
The game of life was her guilty pleasure, a sick fun
Her brains were unmatched, her wits worth praising
Her tongue had a mind of its own and was scathing
Perfect with the imperfect scars she owned with pride
Brightening every dark room she walked in with her light
Her beauty was blinding, her scorn was brazen
Rumor has it that while she inhabited this world, she was never truly a denizen.
