"Mom?" I asked as I walked through the door. "Where are you?" She should be home I was only gone for like 2 hours and she doesn't have work. I walked around the house in search of my mother. I walked up stairs to put my stuff away when I heard a muffled scream come from her bedroom. "Mom whats going... Oh my gosh! MOM WHAT HAPPENED" I look down on my mother laying on the ground writhing in pain. She is clutching her side while the blood seeps through her clothes and the gaps between her fingers.

"Your. Father," Is all she said before she passed out from lack of blood and the pain. I called 911 right away and I am now currently riding in the ambulance. My father has gone to far now. He has always been abusive to me and my mother. We left him a long time ago and I was hoping that he had forgotten about us and would leave us alone.

It's weird being in the hospital and not being the one treated. They stopped my chemo since I wasn't responding to it, so I haven't been here in awhile. I feel my pocket begin to vibrate and the song Little Things begins to play faintly. 

"Hello," I answer when I pick up my phone. 

"Hey girl are you ready for the concert tonight?" I hear Anna say on the other end. Oh crap I forgot about that, I want to go but I don't think I can face people right now I just want to stay with my mom. "Hello Erin... Are you there?"

"Oh yea sorry about that. I don't think I can go to the concert."

"WHY NOT." Anna yelled at the other end of the phone

"My dad.. He. He hurt my mother I'm in the hospital." That was all I could get out before I broke into tears.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry. You don't have to go." Anna was the only other person that new about my dad and what he did to us. According to the doctors all the stress and some of the other things that he did to me were some of the factors that gave me cancer. Everything is his fault. "Don't you want to come over honey I have ice cream?"

"I think I'd rather stay here with my mom."

"Ok honey see you soon." the line went dead and I broke into tears again. I was alone now.

"Go," I hear a faint voice on the other side of the room say. 

"Mom your awake!" I say as I run over to her side.

"You need to go to the concert. I'll be fine I'm with the doctors." She said as she gave my hand a reassuring squeeze. 

"But mom I can't leave you."

"Come on honey YOLO."

"YOLO," I say as I laugh at my mom a little bit. She smiles at me one more time before she falls asleep. I pick up my phone and dials Anna's number. "I'm going to the concert."
