"Easy, little loboan," said Ampfibian, backing up a bit. The creature growled at him, her blue pupils, lighting up. "Please, I don't want to—"

CHOMP!

Tears trickled down Ampfibian's face as he stared at his swollen hand. The little loboan let go and fell on her bottom. He barely held in his scream, transforming back into Ben in a flash of light.

The little loboan backed away from the strange new figure that appeared, hiding behind the black container.

Once Ben could better endure his pain, he walked towards the container, hand over his nose.

"Why was a living Loboan kept in a preservation cell? Do they want her to freeze to death?" said Ben.

He soon discovered though that the inside of the container had its own thermal monitor, able to make itself hotter or cooler depending on its thermal guage. From the sides, Ben also noticed the little vents.

Dabney Donovan was so keen on keeping this poor thing a secret that he made measures to keep her contained and still alive. It was also possible he would have let her out sooner or later.

Apart from the ripped up, bloody remains of the deer, there was nothing in the container, save for something written on a piece of paper, taped to one of the walls.

"Vupinara-079," said Ben. He turned the corner, noticing the little female loboan crouched behind the black container. She got up and growled at Ben, like a wolf trying to fend off an enemy.

"Easy, little one," said Ben. He looked back into the container, cringing as he picked up a piece of the bloody deer. He placed it before the little Vupinara, who stared at Ben suspiciously.

"I'm not little! I'm 6 years old!" whined Vupinara suddenly, with the voice of a little girl with a Swedish accent. "And you're not Uncle Dabney! Who are you?"

"Uh, you can talk?" said Ben, a little started. Of course she could, she was a 6 year old humanoid alien wolf, and he had the Omnitrix acting as a Universal Translator.

"I'm a hero...uh, I guess. And I'm here because your Uncle Dabney might be doing something wrong."

"That's a lie!" exclaimed Vupinara. "He would never! Never! Never!"

"Okay, okay," said Ben, trying to keep her from yelling. "I said might!"

The door suddenly slammed open. Ben turned quickly, blood rushing through his veins at the sudden sound. It was Black Canary—followed by Lucky Girl and Spandex Girl—holding some papers, a tense look on her face as she came in.

"Are you done snooping around yet? We've got what we came for—" Black Canary paused, gazing at the open preservation cell and black container. "What are you doing?"

"Wait," Lucky Girl, squinted her eyes, looking past Ben. Vupinara trotted past Ben on all four, allowing her a better look at the alien. "Wait, is that—?"
