3rd person POV:

Kaidou worked at his best friend, Nendo's ramen shop.

I know. It sounds ridiculous that Nendo could actually own a business. But he wasn't a cashier, he was too dumb for that, as you saw when he worked at that convenience store. He couldn't be a waiter either, he was too ugly for that.

But, he was good at cooking.

It was the only way that he could actually work somehow and not get fired.

~

It was calm and peaceful, you could always hear the vegetables sizzling or people talking. It was fairly small, and although they didn't have a crowd of customers, most came regularly to support the small business. Their friend Saiki also helped out with the ramen shop, however he wasn't always there since he was trying to get his college degree. There were also a few more employees from their old high school, but they only came every now and then to wash the dishes or clean up the shop.

-Guys we're running out of bread flour! said Nendo

-Good grief, said Saiki (duh)

-Ok, how about we play rock-paper-scissors to decide who is going to the supermarket, said Kaidou, confidently.

-Alright, said Saiki, wanting to get over it.

The first time they played rock-paper-scissors, Nendo lost, but Saiki and Kaidou decided that it would be better if they went since Nendo is quite the idiot and would probably  accidentally go to the hairdresser's, which isn't a bad idea.

Kaidou and Saiki played again.

-On shoot, ok? said Kaidou.

-Alright, answered Saiki.

-Rock! Paper! Scissors!

Kaidou put his hand out flat, signaling paper.

'I'm going to do paper! He'll never guess!'

'I really don't want to go to the store. Guess I'll do scissors.'

Saiki won by putting out scissors.

-Ugh. Not again... mumbled Kaidou.

He walked out the door, frustrated at his co-workers.

His 8th grade mind was telling him that it must've been the work of Dark Reunion. But he brushed it off. He knew it wasn't real after all.

It was a windy day. His fluffy cotton candy hair was swaying in all directions. The supermarket was only about a 2 minute walk from the shop, so it was quite close. But for Kaidou, it felt like an eternity.

After finally arriving at the store, he received a text from Saiki giving him the list for the grocery store. Kaidou picked up a shopping basket and headed towards the vegetables. After grabbing some green onions, eggs, oyster mushrooms, and ginger, he walked towards the wheat section to grab the bread flour. It was quite heavy, that is, for Kaidou. Bringing the bag towards the basket, Kaidou was having a difficult time.. Until...

He tripped.

Kaidou's work uniform was covered from head to toe in flour. No. The whole aisle was covered in bread flour. He wanted to scream.

Kaidou's POV:

'No!! I did not just do that... Wait a second.. Who is laughing behind me?'

The giggles behind him turned into laughter.

I looked behind my shoulder. A tall boy, maybe around my age, wheezing. He had dark purple hair and square glasses. He seemed to work at this store, as a cashier.
