Jake Lockley's POV:

After leaving the journal behind:

Jake walked through the crowd easily disappearing amongst them. He could faintly hear you shouting from afar but he knew that you were quick enough to find the portrait he had drawn of you. Seeing you on the subway had inspired such a flame within his heart, that his callous hands couldn't help but draw you. Having the image of you in his mind was not enough, he wanted to imprint you onto a page. But he knew that a mortal like him couldn't recreate such a beauty like you as the gods did. Jake walked his way to his favorite butcher store to pick some products for his apartment.

10:30pm:

The flashing lights, and loud citizens walked below as Jake sat on the edge of his window, with a cup of Gato Negro, admiring and taking in the loud buzzing sounds of traffic. He'd close his eyes and practice his memory skills or sensory skills. He had to get part of himself used to it. Sure, sometimes Steven or Marc would get sensory overload but he'd help them to ease their nerves too. Large cowards drove them a bit on edge, which is why Jake was much more of a better candidate for doing missions in New York. Tonight, the moon was at its full potential which meant that Khonsu would be much more potent in aiding any injury. As Jake swirled the wine cup in his hand, his cell phone lit up. Jake walked over to the kitchen table and saw the notification. It was Y/N. Jake opened the text message to reply back when all of a sudden a chill crawled up his spine. Something was off. Jake darted his eyes around the dark part of the room, wondering if the god had brought a guest with him. "You very well that Khonsu doesn't have friends really, something is up," Marc reassured. Jake hummed, agreeing with Marc. Jake began to type back a message to Y/N, once again he felt that weird sensation. What the hell was it? Jake placed the cell phone down and walked over to the kitchen sink. Jake splashed some water on his face and rubbed his damped hand on his neck. "Mate, the sensation that you are feeling is: worry. Strange innit? What could you be worried about? Are you okay?" Steven finally spoke up. And he was right, Jake was feeling worried but it only happened twice when attempting to contact Y/N back. Couldn't it be her fault right? Jake darted back to the cell phone and sent his message. The feeling didn't come back. Jake laughed to himself, he couldn't believe it was Y/N making him nervous. Jake paced back to the living room when all of a sudden a voice fills the room "Don't be too sure of yourself Jake Lockley. Y/N is danger." Jake turned around and meet his eyes with Khonsu. Jake squinted his eyes, "De Que mierda estas hablando? What do you mean she's in danger?" he gritted through his teeth. "Three men are following her, and it won't end well if you don't arrive soon. Go, I'll allow you to do that as your mission tonight. These men have been hunting women down for the past 2 weeks, thankfully you're in town." Khonsu elaborated. Jake nodded his head and allowed Marc to be the host of the body again. Marc shook his head, regaining his placement within the body. Once he adjusted again, he looked up at Khonsu, "Where to?" Marc simply asked, "66St, Lincoln Center. Hurry up, Spector." Khonsu informed him as he disappeared. Marc embraced the suit, wrapping itself around him like bondage. The suit beautifully decorated his sand-colored skin, and the moon poured onto Marc's suit, and the moonlight shined off of his chest's crest. Marc didn't think twice as he jumped out through the window to save Y/N.
