[Without you] /Lippa/

Phillipa felt how suddenly everyone in the restaurant was looking at her and Lin, who was kneeling infront of her, waiting for an answer. She became flashbacks from the time when Steven proposed to her and how it ended and she wasn't sure if she wanted this with Lin. At this moment she just wanted to scream "YES!" at the tops of her lungs, but she didn't know if that was the right decision. Lin noticed her hesitation immediately and slowly closed the ring box. "It's alright, if you need to think about it." He whispered to her understanding. "Would that be okay?" She asked, not wanting to disappoint Lin. Lin nodded, stood up from the ground and sat at the table again.

And with that the very romantic evening ended abruptly. Lin planned to go to the Park with Pippa after they got engaged, to watch the stars in the sky but the atmosphere wasn't right. So they drove home. Pippa went immediately upstairs to get herself ready for bed. She needed to think about a lot. While Lin told her parents, who were in the living room, how it went. Their reaction was understanding yet they were sorry for Lin since they really started to like him. After that Phillipa's parents went home and Lin went upstairs to see Pippa lying already sleeping in the bed. He changed his clothes silently and then joined her in the bed.

What he didn't know was that Phillipa was fully awake and only had her eyes closed. She couldn't sleep at this moment. Like what should she do now? She was afraid of saying yes but saying no wasn't an option either. She needed help from someone. So she lied in the bed, until she heard Lin snoozing peacefully next to her. Phillipa got up from the bed, checked the time, which was 11:12pm, got herself dressed in comfortable sweatpants and a t-shirt and left the room.

She needed advice and she couldn't sleep until she spoke about it. But she couldn't speak with Lin about it and she knew to whom she could go. Pippa went outside, into the car and started her engine. Her big belly made it very difficult to drive but somehow she figured it out. After a twenty minute drive she arrived infront of a beautiful white house. Pippa got out of the car, through the front yard and rang on the bell. Only one minute later someone opened the door.

"Hey Alexis." Phillipa said with a weak smile on her face. "Hey Pippa, what are you doing here? What happened?" He asked worried. "But first of all come in." He said then and let Pippa into the house. "Thank you. I just needed to talk to Renée for a second." "Sure, sure. Just make yourself comfortable in the living room and I'll get Renée from upstairs." Alexis explained and went upstairs. Meanwhile Pippa went to the living room and sat down on the large, red couch. At this moment she felt another kick against her stomach. "Shush you two. I need to think." She told the babies, while rubbing her belly. At this moment Renée came in, wearing a beautiful purple nightgown.

"Oh my god, Hey Pips." She said surprised and worried at the same time. "Hey, I hope I didn't bother you to that time." Phillipa said then a bit shyly as she realised that it's been almost midnight and she visited Renée without an invitation. "Not at all! Alexis is taking care of the children so it's fine. Now tell me what going on?" Renée asked, as she sat down next to Pippa on the couch. After a short silence Pippa finally was able to speak. "Lin proposed." She blurted out and she felt so good that she was able to talk with an another person at this moment. "Oh my god!" Renée said happily as she reached out to grab Pippas hand just to notice that there wasn't any ring on her finger. "I didn't say yes." Phillipa said then and Renée showed her a questionable look on her face. "Why would you-" "I didn't say no either. I don't know what to do. I'm scared of having the same relationship as I had with Steven." She explained as she began to shake and Renée immediately hugged her as she noticed.

"But Lin isn't Steven. Lin is Lin and you love him, don't you?" Renée said and Pippa nodded in response. "And he loves you so much. And if he wasn't a thousand percent sure about it, he wouldn't have proposed to you. But he did because he loves you so much and you're welcoming two baby girls into the world soon. If I were you, I wouldn't even overthink this for one second." Renée said and these were exactly the words Pippa needed to realise something. "You're right." She stated. "I think I know what I'll do. Thank you Renée." Pippa said as tears of relief were running down her face. "Do you want to sleep in the guest room tonight?" "If I'm allowed to. I don't wanna bother you and Alexis." Phillipa said shyly as she remembered that she's there without any invitation. "Don't talk nonsense, of course you can stay. C'mon I'll show you the room."
