Ava Paige walked into the room of board directors, using a handkerchief to wipe at the fake blood on the side of her skull. Removing her now stained white jacket. "Safe to say the Maze trails were a complete success, I wasn't expecting so many survivors but, the more the merrier."
"The twins continue to surprise and impress, their brain chemistry is by far the most fascinating out of them all, it is too soon to say, but they could be the key to everything."
"For now, they have taken the bait and their exposure to the world containing the flare could be the cause of even more advancements."
After a beat of silence, another board member spoke up, "should we not be concerned with the size of the group that escaped? Especially with Thomas at the spearhead, they are likely to ask more questions and they seem more loyal to each other than any other group we have encountered."
Ava hummed, "I appreciate that concern but there is a fraction of non-immunes in that group so the numbers will decrease when we move to the extraction of the cure. Additionally, I trust in the capabilities of Jansen to keep them contained in the holding facility.
"With that, let's move forward. It is time to begin phase two."
