From the moment the car drove away to now, L has been calling and texting her. After the 1000th call, she blocked his number. This set him off causing him to go back to his old ways. Filled with anger and self-loathing, he found himself driving in silence to the one place that never failed him. The bar.
It was deja vu all over again, as he entered the establishment all eyes turned to watch him, making unfair judgements based on his sappy aura.
And after about an hour and many drinks later, he was wasted, but in a sense coherent.
He knew where he was, his name, birthday, address, place of work, and all that other important information. But he was not in the right state of mind to drive. He didn't give a fuck tho. "Timeeee to go", he tumbled out of the stool. The bartender quickly rushed from behind the bar stand to reach for his keys, "I don't think so."
L chuckled, "Give me them back." The bartender shook his head. He got angry, "I need to go make things right with her, so give them back! GIVE ME MY KEYS!"
The situation escalated as L grabbed a glass cup, slammed it onto the counter. He split his palm in the process. Still, the bartender remained calm and never handed his keys over.
The bartender told his coworker to takeover while he scooted the drunk man outside so he could take him to the nearest hospital.
"Sit here and don't fucking move", he scolded L as if he was a child.
"Tch, I'm a grown man I can do whatever the fuck I want to do", he mumbled.
The bartender went back inside to grab their things. "Better not kill him", his coworker joked. He sighed, "No promises. Did you see what the fucker did? He's lucky I'm being nice enough to take him to the hospital."
"Tru but look at him, he looks distraught. What if he received the worst news of his life and that's why he's acting out?"
Just when he was about to respond there was a commotion coming from outside their workplace. There on the semi-empty street stood L in the middle of it, testing his luck to see if he could dodge on-coming speeding cars in time before they hit him.
"Get out of the street you fucking moron", a bystander yelled.
He laughed like a mad-man watching the small speck of light coming closer, making its figure out to be an SUV truck.
I won again... She left you just like everyone you've ever encountered.
"N-no, not true."
Yes! She's gone. I tried warning you about her but babe... you wouldn't listen to me... Now look at yourself, even more pathetic than before.
