TW:!! DEADNAMING !! not so great techno either- (it'll get better. . . Maybe)
Tommy woke up not hearing the sound of his alarm. Which frightened him because he usually wakes up to it. So what he did was look around the room before spotting the clock
SHIT. It was past 12! He usually starts work at 11! Tommy's mind started racing, and many many 'unappreciated' words (as some may say) started to flood in
"FUCK!" He yelped out, quickly grabbing his things as a concerned Ranboo and tired Tubbo walked out of the bedroom.
"What's wrong Big ma-" Tubbo didn't even get to finish what he was saying because Tommy was already booking it for the door, rushing to get his shoes on— which when he tried to open it, it didn't actually open due to the safety latch. Which made Tommy groan- moving his hand to grab the latch and move it but not getting to properly due so as his wrist was grabbed by a familiar splotchy skin colored hand.
"Tommy..." Ranboo's tone of voice just pissed him off, but he didn't say anything to it. "Where are you going...?"
"I have to go to work, Ran." Tommy said through clenched teeth.
"Tommy." Tubbo's voice interjected, before continuing. "You don't have work.. Uhm, me and Boo told Puffy you wouldn't be coming in so you could rest."
Tommy's head snapped to Tubbo. "WHAT!?" Ranboo's hand flinched away from Tommy's, in shock Ranboo backed away and stood next to Tubbo. "What do you mean you called Puffy and told her I wouldn't be there!? I have to be there!" panic, frustration, all of the above, that's how Tommy was feeling.
"Tommy.. yesterday—" "NO RANBOO. YESTERDAY DOESN'T MATTER! I HAVE TO GO TO WORK!-.." Tommy said quickly in a panic, annoyed and worried tone. Ranboo went quiet, fidgeting around with his hands.
Tommy turned around, quickly unlocking the door and going down the stairs. (Which didn't help his anger at all— in fact it worsened it.) And after he made his way down to the first floor, (with shaky legs) he ran out the front door.
Yea, Tommy knew that it wasn't good to be running on a starved stomach but he didn't have time to eat anything due to how late he was and how tired he was the night before, but either way he knew he had to get there and soon. Foolish was probably already tired even though he didn't do 9 hours per day— he still felt bad for him. So before he went inside he caught his breath, just to make sure it didn't seem like he ran here in a panic, because he most certainly did not! and because he honestly didn't feel like talking to Puffy after Foolish saw him.
And so he walked in, bag over his shoulder with a few items; including his keys.
Foolish looked over at him and paused whatever it was he was doing, a look of concern and confusion slowly showing in his face.
"Tommy?"
"Hey big man.. sorry for being late." He sounded a bit guilty, moving to the employee break room and placing his stuff down before grabbing his apron with his name embroidered onto its pocket. He started to walk back to the counter but after a small moment he made a noise of annoyance. "Hey big man, can you tie the back of my apron?"
"Tommy. You're not supposed to be here....it's your-" Foolish began, but wouldn't be able to continue due to Tommy cutting him off. "I didn't call in sick or anything like that.. my roommates saw me last night and decided to call Puffy just because of that."
"What..happened last night?" His usual grin would just be a tight lipped frown.
"I saw something outside the store.. and ran home- But! That's not important— tie my fuckin' apron please-"
