I breathe in the sweet smell of October, the surroundings welcoming me warmly with its mesmerising colour accompanied by a gentle sway of the breeze. A satisfactory sigh escapes my mouth slowly, as I slowly wrap my poncho tighter around my figure, hoping to get an ounce of warmth from the soft material.
Time flew fast, the leaves have all turned a crispy brown, and they all plummeted to the ground like freshly picked fruit from a summer tree. The world seems more peaceful this time of year.
The leaves make a sharp yet comforting crinkling below my shoes as I walk at a steady pace through the neighbourhood. Halloweens coming around soon, and the local neighbourhood families all bought pumpkins for their front porch-all still uncarved.
