      The air was pungent with the smell of death and glowed with the view of utter chaos and destruction left by a fierce battle between demon slayers and the demon siblings Daki and [Y/n]. Their weakness had been revealed, and the demon slayers were relentless in their efforts to behead both demons at the same time. In a final showdown of swordsmanship and resilience, both demons found themselves face-to-face, no longer in battle with their foes as their heads ...had been severed. Tanjiro had a look of disbelief as he noticed mid battle that Y/n the demon that he had just defeated seemed so accepting with her death, like she welcomed it with opened arms. It reminded him greatly of the spider demoness he fought in the mountains.

When had it all gone so wrong...

Oh...you remembered, it was the day you died and got transported into this god-awful world.

     You were just a regular, ordinary person, nothing special about you— a loving family, good grades in college, a wonderful partner and a bright future ahead of you, well, it was bright until a drunk driver hit you with his car and you died on impact.

       The next thing you knew, you were face to face with some god who sent you to the Demon slayer universe and gave you a task, to save as many people as possible and to try not to die, easy right? Well it would have been if told you that you would be reincarnated as FUCKING GYUTARO!!

     Seriously of all people he head to be him? You watched Demon slayer twice and while you felt so bad for him and his sister because considering their situation they had no chance of having a good life , that does not excuse the amount of lives he and his sister had probably taken while being demons. But it's too late for complaining because you just got born and you're mother is looking at you like you're the most hideous thing she's laid her eyes on. And she's right, unfortunately .

        So yeah you grew up just like him, no changes there, you ate bugs and rats, learnt how to fight, protected your sister when you could but, she still wanted to make money by selling her body— And looking at your reflection, you realize that you had it better than him, as petty as that is. Yeah, you still have black makings all over your body and your Adeye's do look a bit sickly. Hey at least your teeth aren't jagged! Overall you still look human, not like the other kids cared they threw rocks at you regardless.

        But the one thing you couldn't do was protect her in the darkest point of Gyutaro and Daki's life and in the end you made a deal with the rainbow eyed freak and became a demon and subsequently forgot everything that happened to you until the very moment of your death. When you realized that you had utterly and honestly, fucked up.

     So you did what any lovable anime villager would do, look the main character in the eyes and accept death. It was still painful honestly, but you figured you deserved it, it's heartbreaking, seeing a character you love looking at you like you are hats wrong with his life, like the best thing he could do is get rid of you. When you realize, just what you've become and the fucked up things you've done under Muzan's control.

     You just wanted to keep Daki— no,Ume safe because she, didn't deserve to live like this, and you failed. She's screaming at you now, about how useless you are and you just don't have the heart to yell at her so you grace her with the kindest smile you have and speak to her one last time, tanjiro be damned , you don't care what happens in this show anymore:
"Ume, that's enough...let's just go home..."

Everything after that was just ... black...

          When you came to, you were holding Ume's hand, both of you were facing hell. You turned to face her, "Ume, go the other way, I'm the only one supposed to go this way". You're going to face the price for your sins, whether it's from your previous life or the current one that's just been snuffed out, you don't know , but you have to atone. It was kind of pointless to ask her considering she gave the same exact response as the anime,
"No", she held tighter onto your hand as she said that. You wanted to cry.

"Are you sure? This is your last chance to back out". Please...don't say no...you don't want to be alone...please... fuck, your voice is shaking now.

   She then graced you with a beautiful smile— and promptly shimmed up onto your back ,"C'mon Big Sis! Let's go!!". Jeez, she's making it sound like you're going to an amusement park instead of literal HELL.

     Squeezing her thighs once as a sign to get ready, you feel her nod once on top of your head as you take the first steps towards your external damnation... then, you realize two things.

One, that the comforting weight in your back is no longer there.

And two, you're surrounded by an eerily familiar darkness...
Is it? ...No, it can't be, why now?! Why here?!,
"Did you think that you could just fuck up and leave, [Y/n]?"

***As a demon, [Y/n] refused to eat anyone except truly despicable individuals and made Daki do the same.

***[Y/n] is VERY much emotionally attached to Ume now.....

***Douma found [Y/n] strangely beautiful and wished to...keep her.

***The being that sent you to this word very much knew you would fail so they joyed watching you struggle fruitlessly.

***That doesn't mean they'll take their efforts being wasted, Isekai is stressful you know?.

A/n: You've reached the end of the prologue! If you're still here that means you like it...maybe? We've seen Mc's backstory, pretty sad honestly but now we move onto her personal arc which spans for a chapter or two then an obligatory time skip then the official gameplay! Get ready.
