The Creature Cases - Trouble With The Tribe

Kit scanned the area with her Ispy goggles. But since there were so many plants blocking her view, she switched to heat vision.

"Okay, let's see if I can find that tribe, or maybe even their villlage." Kit started walking slowly through the dense forest.

Suddenly, she heard a whoosh from behind, and she turned around. "Huh?! Who's there?!"

Nothing...

"Hello?" Kit called out nervously while slowly backing away.

But as she did, she stepped right into a snare trap and it got triggered, the rope wrapping around her left leg and sending her upwards and suspended upside down just several inches from the ground.

"Whoa! What in the wooly world?!" Kit exclaimed. "Help! Somebody?!" She called out.

Just then, there was growling coming from behind a shrub. Kit panicked a little and desperately tried to free herself from the trap, but to no avail.

"S-Sam? Is that you?" She called out, curious.

In response to her call, a lion came up from the shrub and eyed the fox carefully.

"W-wait, you're not Sam." Kit's eyes widened in shock and fear as she tried to stay as still as possible.

The lion approached her and started sniffing her out, which tickled her a bit.

"H-hey!" Kit exclaimed between small fits of laughter.

The lion backed up a little. Then several others appeared behind him, which made Kit panic even more, but she was able to scan their looks with her Ispy goggles.

"Wait a minute, this must be the lost tribe that I was looking for!" Kit thought.

But when the lions saw the holographic goggles over her eyes, they started to panic.

"Whoa, hey! What's gotten into--" Before Kit could finish, she was freed from the trap and pinned to the ground.

Kit yelped at this, then her hands were tied behind her back. Afterwards, her legs were secured in a hogtie before she was placed in a large basket, big enough to fit her, but had barely enough room to move around.

"Intruder has been captured successfully." One of them stated.

"H-hey! Let me out of here!!" Kit yelled as she squirmed around inside the basket.

The lion from earlier covered her mouth, but she bit his hand in response. He screamed and pulled his hand away from her before closing the basket with its lid and was carried somewhere by the rest of the lions.

"Alright, where could that drone be..." Sam thought as he scanned the area, occasionally looking behind shrubs and under rocks (for comedic reasons), until finally, he found it beside a boulder.

"There we go. Now to meet up with Kit." Sam exclaimed happily as he picked up the wreckage of the drone and put inside a large enough pouch. "Hopefully the Stinkwells can fix this when we get back."

As Sam walked back to the direction of where he and Kit split up earlier, the same whoosh sound was heard from behind him.

"Who's there?!" Sam yelped before turning around to find nobody there.

"Whoever's hiding around here, show yourselves." He called out.

Just then, a lion from the tribe emerged from the bushes and was looking at Sam with awe.

"Oh, uhmm... Hi there." Sam said nervously as he backed away from him.

Just then, the lion pointed out, "Why does your face look so familiar...?"

"Uh, how come? I've only been here today, and I don't remember meeting you before." Sam was a little confused as to why the lion said that he looked familiar. Had the lion just mistaken Sam for someone else?

Just then, there were more lions emerging from the shrubs and some climbing down a few trees.

"Whoa whoa, take it easy! I'm not a threat, okay?" Sam tried to convince them and even put his hands up to let them know he's not hostile.

"Come with us." The first lion told Sam before he and his fellow lions walked further down the forest, with Sam following them out of curiosity.

Whoop! Uhh.... I have NOT touched this story at ALL since December of 2022. And I'm sorry for the crazy long wait for this one. I promise I'll continue to work on this one since I had recently finished my other Creature Cases story, "Stranded in the South Pole".
