CHERRY'S POV:
Finally, after unloading package after package out of the moving van, I was done. Then I suddenly realized what time it was, it was nearly 7:00 pm! I looked up and saw the sun beggining to set, it was a nice orange-pink color tonight. After admiring for a few moments, I had a realization. 'Crap! The street lights are gonna come on soon!' That was my cue to head inside. Sighing to myself, still not the happiest about my new town, I walked inside.
ALEX POV:
'Jeez!' I thought as I looked the giant bruise on my leg. I can't even believe I even got that. It was from that stupid girl who was standing in the way of the sidewalk. I thought back to it, 'how stupid. She was in the way! I don't get why she didn't move, I wouldn't have fell if it wasn't for her.' An hour has passed since then, and I've just been in my bedroom, bored, thinking. Oh well, whatever. I grabbed some money, and got my skateboard. My mom was making casserole tonight, green bean casserole. I wasn't in the mood to choke it down. I was able to sneak past her and skate down out of the neighborhood, and to the local McDonald's.
CHERRY POV:
Exhausted, I walked inside. I now looked around my empty house. There was a bigger room, which I assumed to be the living room. It had a fireplace which was nice. I know my grandmother, who I haven't met, used to keep antiques in her living room. When dad told me this, however, he expressed he HATED antiques. So, thankfully I won't have to worry about walking into a table and knocking over expensive items. I went to the kitchen, which was also bare. I opened the fridge, and sighed. Nothing. I went to explore the other rooms on the first floor. There was a decent sized room, I suppose that would be the entertainment room. When my dad was off shift, we liked to watch tv together!!! I sighed, realizing there was a note I missed on the kitchen counter.
"Hey Double Cherry! I forgot to mention I had to go to work for an introduction meeting. Oops. Anyways, head on over to a restaurant in town. Love you lots!!
-Dad"
'He left??' I thought to myself. I guess I didn't realize him leaving. Sometimes I day-dream, and it seems I was doing that while unloading packages. Oh well. I head out the door and head on over to the shopping district. There's McDonald's, a laundry mat, and a grocery store. There was also a smashed melon in the parking lot of it. Weird. Anyways, I decided to go McDonald's since I didn't feel like walking down to see what else there was. Oh well, I could go for a Big Mac.
NOBODY'S POV:
Little did Alex and Cherry know that they were both headed in for a Big Mac. The two starving Jenkintown teens will soon realize that, indeed, they were both headed in to the same restaurant, and both wanted, dare I say, Big Macs.
