After about an hour of talking, laughing, playing around with their wands (for which Hermione had scolded them), and eating sweets, they had all arrived at Hogwarts.
Everyone took their luggage out of the bins, making their way out of the train. Just knowing that she was at Hogwarts made Emelie feel safe and secure.
This school was like a shelter for Emelie. The situation at her house could sometimes get a bit complicated such as her mom and dad fighting. Emelie soon expected a divorce but she always tried to look on the bright side. For her the bright side was this school that was like a safeguard for her emotions.
Not to mention all the friends she'd made. In her small Muggle town, no one would appreciate her because she was a witch but it was different here, all her friends saw her for her personality not the fact that she had magical abilities. Besides, everyone else here was a wizard or a witch too. Emelie finally stepped out of the train, breathing in the fresh air that surrounded the castle.
Emelie, Ron, Hermione, and Harry were greeted by Hagrid's familiar voice.
"Alright there, Harry?", Hagrid bellows, his giant figure standing out in the midst of all the first years. "Hermione, Ron, Emelie, are ye all right?".
"We're just fine, thank you!", Hermione tells Hagrid.
"First years, tis way". Hagrid waves goodbye to the four of them and ushers the first years into the boats. The boats. Emelie remembers her first day at Hogwarts like it was yesterday. The ecstatic feeling she'd felt at the pit of her stomach, the worry and fear of what was waiting, the happiness as Hogwarts castle came into view. nothing would ever beat that feeling.
Suddenly, Emelie is being rushed into a carriage that takes her, Ron, Hermione, and Harry towards Hogwarts.
As they make their way up the path, Emelie catches a glimpse of Hogwarts at last. The big castle stands atop the hill, with all the windows admitting a bright light. The aura around Hogwarts is absolutely magical, making Emelie in awe as if it were her first day here.
When the carriage finally stops outside the entrance to Hogwarts, Emelie is the first one to get out. She looks up at the door that opens to the entrance hall. The commotion around her goes silent as Emelie admires the castle's smooth wood doors shining under the glistening moon. Taking a deep breath as if to absorb the air around her there is only one thought planted in Emelie's mind. I'm finally home.
