(Earlier that day)

Alex glanced at the clock, waiting for Science to end. It wasn't that she thought this class was boring.....She just didn't like it. Plus, Doctor Banner was off on some S.H.I.E.L.D mission or something, which left them alone with Doctor Richards, and his wife/fiancé Susan

"Alex!! Pay attention!!"

"Sorry. I wanted to know what time it was." Alex's partner rolled his eyes. Alex knew for a fact he'd rather be paired with anyone else—she didn't even bother learning his name. But, at least the feeling was mutual.

Kind of a lose-lose situation.

"Just hold this steady." He said. Frowning, Alex held the beaker steady while he did the actual science.

'There was a reason I was put in the smart class!!' Alex thought bitterly to herself.

"Alright class, we are running out of time, so if you would please stop what you are doing and clean up." Susan said. She didn't mind substituting, but personally she'd rather be back at the Baxter Building, where she didn't have to worry about what time she was allowed to have lunch.

Alex's partner, took the beaker, and shooed Alex away.

"You clean up while I finish this." He said. Alex gave him an annoyed look and started cleaning up.

"Jerk." She mumbled.

"What was that?" He asked, dimly aware of what she said.

"Nothing!" He snorted and continued working while Alex cleaned up their area. Which was not fun for her.

"Alright class, tomorrow we will be continuing our research, once again on chemicals, matter, and the different reactions to the different mixes." Doctor Richards said.

"Class dismissed." Susan said. Standing up, Alex quickly walked out, heading for Study Hall. Through she wasn't excited for study hall, simply because she had to pass the gymnasium on the way (which was Hank's class now), she was excited because it meant she could sit next to golden boy and find out whether or not he was wearing green or gold.

Someone tapped her shoulder and Alex quickly spun around, hoping it wasn't some jerky bully. Instead, it was Doctor Richards's hand, beckoning her in. Sighing, she followed back in the classroom.

"Ah!! Ms. McCoy."

"Doctor Richards." Susan gave Alex a nice smile. It wasn't Reed's idea to invite her back in, but rather hers.

"Alex, we wanted to see how you were doing?" Alex tore her eyes away from Reed, who was busy bringing down materials, and looked back at Susan.

"I beg your pardon?" She asked.

"Well, from what I remember, last year you were just in Science, not Advanced Science." Alex nodded, frowning slightly. What was this about?

While Susan talked with Alex, Reed was busy getting ready. He had a....uh......colleague coming during his free period (right now), and he needed to make sure the mutagen was stable.

Yes, mutagen. Donatello had asked the genius if he could help make a retro-mutagen, only this time one that did not require April O'Neil's DNA.

"I just wanted to see how you were-- Hank!!" Alex jumped, hoping it wasn't her brother. Thankfully, it wasn't.

Instead, it was Doctor Hank Pym, also known as Ant Man.

Hank Pym wasn't happy to learn that there was a school for heroes that he wasn't invited to teach at, but Tony Stark was. However, after some long persuasiveness of Janet, he ended up coming to help anyway.
