"Master Tomoe!" I then grit my teeth and forced myself to suck it up, mentally facepalming to myself.

"What are you guys doing here?!" he yelled out, obviously spotting the little spirits, I must admit, I feel bad for him, he almost had a heart attack because of those kids and their tactics,
"we've come to try and convince you to rethink your choice! Please become Lady Y/n's familiar!"

"No, I've only just found freedom, I have no need to return to being a familiar again,"
he seemed awfully careless about this situation, it was making my blood boil,
"but the shrine cannot function without the help of a familiar, oh please, Tomoe, please help us!"

I now stepped out from the safe protection of the shoji screens covering me, completely in Tomoe's point of view.

"Hi! This is quite embarrassing, so, I actually retracted from their offer you see-"

"No, Lady Y/n, you have to make him your familiar!" the kids kept pleading on and on for our partnership, like I couldn't just find another familiar.
