"Pres, over here!" Dahyun calls out while flailing her arms, wild enough to get the attention of half the student's population in the area. She is currently seated in one of the benches alongside the jog path, lining the university's soccer field.
Mina walks over carefully to her secretary. Even though it is already past five in the afternoon, she is holding two cups of black coffee.
Every year, prestigious student clubs hold special admission programs.
And also every year, there are always one or two clubs that never fail to cause a ruckus in these events. It is either their applicants are too hot headed, their members are too egotistical, or their captains prefer to eat popcorn while the hot headed applicants and the egotistical members shove grass on each other's mouths.
The soccer team is no exception which is why the student council is putting an eye on them.
"Here." Mina hands over one cup to Dahyun who nods in appreciation. She sits on the bench where the other girl is, taking a sip of her coffee before speaking again. "Thank you for allotting some time for this. I know everyone's busy right now with midterm exams."
Dahyun shrugs and smiles. "Anytime, Pres. Oh, and I bet the soccer team doesn't care much about reviewing for midterms."
Mina's annoyance got triggered a bit by the last statement she had heard. Her earlier calm voice changes into obvious rants. "Their budget and permit for this was already approved a month ago. I specifically told them that I prioritized their processing so that they can hold it weeks before exams!"
The council president glances around and mutters. "You can't blame me for thinking that they really are just a bunch of unorganized muscle heads who—"
"Mina! Myoi Mina!" A proud looking girl in a soccer uniform yells from the field near the goal post, not allowing the president to finish her mini speech. She is smiling widely, waving with her right hand while holding a soccer ball to her left. Judging from her looks, she might be the actual reason why most of the college students are gathered around the field right now.
Mina's soccer girl admirer is Hirai Momo. She is the soccer team's captain. She is tall, well-built, good looking, and not to mention one of the richest kids in the school. Her family even donated the benches in one of which Mina is sitting on right now.
Being on his third year in the university, same tenure as the council president, she is one of those students who tried to take Mina as a trophy romantically but absolutely failed. Needless to say, her confidence is way off the charts.
Mina flashed one of her awkward, fake smiles and waved back to Momo, earning some looks and murmurs from the captain's die-hard fans during the process.
More students are even gathering around the area. Both applicants and members of the soccer team are also visibly warming up in the field.
After getting a response from Mina, Momo then turns her back to the council members and calls everyone at the soccer field to mark the beginning of the event.
"So the team captain has a thing for you, huh?" A voice is heard from behind where the council members are sitting.
Mina was startled for one second. But without looking back, she indifferently answered. "What are you doing here, Chaeng? Don't tell me you have a crush on the captain like these girls?"
Chaeyoung grinned widely and swiftly walked to the council president's side. She is in a soccer outfit. Her sexy calves are now a little obvious on her long white, fitted socks.
The council president raises an eyebrow. "You're applying for the soccer team?"
The transferee just nods. "Hold these for me." She quickly puts her tumbler and face towel on Mina's lap.
