[Closed] Adventure Forward X Reader One-shots

Requested by Shafty_Squire! No specifications were given, so I may have went whatever popped up in my head on this one- I may have went an unexpected turn in writing but I'll roll with it

You wander in the many rooms of the sky emporium, it's not often you've gotten a chance to come to this place, that's the home of the points that experienced the wrath of Celesteal and his narrative. The place seemed empty, they must be busy, you think to yourself, your thoughts were put on a halt upon noticing there was a symbol at a wall far from reach.

"Why is this here? Does this mean anything?"

A faint static noise can be heard, it seems to be from nowhere as you look around, until you look down. Down below lies a floating island, an entrance to someone's dimension, it had glitches and lava, an unwelcoming sight for you. Despite how menacing it looks from above, you feel eager to explore and went down there.

"I wonder who lives in a place like this?"

"That would be me."

Startled, you jumped back and almost fell to the ground, upon recovering you hear the point cackling loudly.

"Stars, can't even handle a little jumpscare" he snorted.

"Hey! That's not even nice though, why would you do that!"

"Why not? It's so fun!"

"It's not."

"Hmph, can't you lighten up a bit grump, eh whatever, what brings you here in the emporium, near my world of all places? Never seen you before"

"I- well I know some of the points here and I wanted to visit this place to see what's it like, but everyone's not here"

"Oh yeah that's normal, they usually have other things to do, while I don't and I'm always left alone" the last part of his sentence sounded a bit bitter, you can't help but to feel sympathy for him.

"Ah, well you're not alone today"

"But you're a stranger."

"My name is Y/N, now how about you?"

"Ixol. But how did you actually find my world, every people that come over here without knowing the place would walk past me. Somehow you find my world?"

"Well, I was staring at the symbol on the wall, and why it was there. Since it was quiet I was able to hear static coming from that TV in your portal entrance, then I saw where it came from and here I am, standing right before you"

Ixol's symbol flickered in amusement.

"Hm. Interesting, well as the first stranger to have ever discover my world, I will take you a tour around my world. Careful not to fall into spikes or in the water, you don't want to be hurt"

"... Why are there even-"

"B e c a u s e  I  c a n, Y/N"

You didn't reply, simply nodded at the peculiar and seemingly unhinged point, he starts walking to the entrance and you follow him. Upon entering his world, you are greeted with a mess of a sight; it is a fairly large island surrounded in black ocean water and flames, glitches are scattered but neatly placed in some places as if they're obstacles. You stare at this for a moment, comprehending what exactly this world was, before feeling something shaking you from your thoughts.

"Y/N, I did not bring you here just to stand there in think, come on before I kick you out of this world instead"

Ixol stood there, arms crossed, clearly irritated. You only sigh, moving to set foot on this world's sand, he hurriedly followed.

"So, tell about this place, how do you live in a place like this?"

"It's cozy! And the obstacles I've set up put up quite the challenge"

"Probably but tell me, who would even live in this mess, are you trying to intimidate visitors?"

"I don't even get visitors, why would I care? And hey there's piranha-like fishes in the water! They're my friends"

"Why the hell would you make poison water more dangerous than it is"

"THOSE FISH ARE M Y PETS, WHAT DO YOU THINK? AND WHO SAID THE WATER IS SAFE TO SWIM ON ANYWAY, AT LEAST IT'S USEFUL ENOUGH TO BE THE HOME OF MY F I S H E S"

"Alright- I'm sorry- don't yell"

Ixol didn't say more but signalled you to follow, there were spikes that follow you and him but didn't seem to be near, it was slow and far, as if it knew Ixol was there.

"Don't worry getting hit by anything, as long as I'm present, nothing will harm you"

"Okay, but where are we going"

"Somewhere less... Unsafe as you'd call it"

"What for?"

"I just think you don't like the type of stuff I do, now why would I try to make my only guest uncomfortable? Or is burning things a thing you'd like"

"No, I'd rather not touch fire"

"Exactly, now come on, be quicker"

You continue following him, now at a quicker pace than moments ago, you find yourself at a part of the island that seemed calmer and peaceful, there was a white yet glitchy picnic table in the middle of the area. He sat down and motioned you to sit in front of him, you sit down.

"Would you like to play a game with me...?"

"What game?"

Out of nowhere, he takes out a box and puts it on the table, it was a board game box. You look at him in surprise and confusion, tilting your head.

"This."

You look at him with even more confusion clear on your face, he seemed irritated in response but kept his cool.

"Just play this board game with me, no questions asked"

"What game is this-"

"Uh. Snakes and ladders, It's not like I know how to play Monopoly or anything"

"I do know how to play those- but if this is what you want to play, sure"

"Can you teach me how to play those? This is the only board game I have been hiding that I know how to play on"

"Yes, but let's play one game of this first, since you have it out here"

Ixol nodded and the two began a game, they both had fun and Ixol won. You teach him about the other board games that you know of, although struggled a bit, but pulled through and overall enjoyed the time spent together. The day was ending and you had to go home, Ixol escorts you out of his world, you turn to face him.

"That was entirely unexpectedly but I had fun today"

"I know, I also thank you for teaching me how to play those games, playing board games with friends is fun but it's nothing compared to burning everything and mess with people for fun!"

"Sounds like a bad thing"

"It's what I like, it's a coping mechanism okay-"

"What"

"What?"

"Nevermind, well, can we be friends then?"

"Of course- I haven't had much friends since... Five of them died, it would be nice to make some friends, that's what the others in this emporium said"

"That's... Sad, are you alright?"

"I'm fine, I've slowly been moving on from it, they're not going to like it if I continued moping about them considering I still have the others, and now you"

Ixol's symbol flickered as you smile at him, soon after you wave at him goodbye and went back up, greeted by the other points. They look at you in wonder after seeing you came from Ixol's world, but shrug it off and said you played board games with him, you went back home.
