Forging Forward

Writing chapters out with drawing my own pictures takes some time and makes sure I write every so often. So enjoy and I hope the story isn't to bad of a style.

Over the next 60 hours that are left more contestants came out though the forth one that finished was amusing with them thinking they came in first to reach the bottom. Time seemed to really drag on waiting for the time to run out, getting food and trying to entertain ourselves. Hisoka tried getting me to play some poker with him but, me almost nicking him with my knife was enough of an answer. Fucking clown was already on my shit list with his obsession of Gon and Killua even though they show great promise with how they are handling themselves.

'I need to move around again.' I'm starting to get sore again just sitting and doing nothing else. Slowly doing a basic stretching exercise I get some looks but they stay silent like always when I do. I move on to some yoga to loosen up my joints next. Another contestant that came in not long ago notices me and walks over.

"Are you experienced in the art of meditation as well?" He's the oldest person I've seen that has gotten so far. Nodding yes he stands not far away joining me in my usual yoga routine. We have our eyes closed and move in slow movements that are relaxing me from the tension of sitting and enjoying the company of someone joining.

Finishing he bows and I in turn walk over to Kei who was taking another nap, he's probably the most bored out of everyone here not being able to move around like he usually does.

The time left is almost over with no one making it down in some time. The probability that the group isn't going to make it is increasing for I was hoping they would have been here sooner but, I can't change anything to help them.

There's a few minutes left and everyone's getting up to leave as another door opens and Gon, Killua, and Kurapika walk out covered in scrapes and dust.

"Contestant number 404 kurapika is the twentieth to pass, number 405 Gon is the twenty first to pass, number 99 Killua is the twenty second to pass, time elapsed 71 hours and 58 minutes." They looked tired and out of breath, so I didn't have to worry at all like I thought.

"Contestant number 403 Leorio is the twenty third to pass number 16 Tonpa is the twenty forth to pass time elapsed 71 hours and 59 minutes." Then a chime sounded that signaled the end of the third phase and a giant door opened letting in fresh air and sunlight.

Mmmm sunlight and fresh air is the best kind of drug after being in that stuffy stone tower for three days. Kei was happy to be out as well, for he rushed off to the nearby tree line for a quick run to get some much needed exercise himself.

There were two people standing not very far from the opened gate "Congratulations, some of you may know me as your examiner Lippo for trick tower. Now I'm setting you off to your next phase on Zevil Island 'waving his hand towards an island in the distance' for this phase please come up and grab a tile from the box." I walked up first and reached inside for my tile that had tape on one side.

"These are your targets you have to find and take their badge from to pass, your badge is 3 points the targets is 3 points as others are 1 point. You need 6 points to pass so, choose carefully on how you'll go on. The ship will take you over to the island where you'll stay for a week being the prey and hunter good luck to you all."

I whistle for Kei to come back, this catches the small groups attention having Gon and Killua run over to me. Though they rush up to Kei as he comes out of the bushes giving him pets and scratches.

'Hump' shaking my head somehow, I can't be mad because it makes for a cutescene with Kei being piled on by them, with a pleased wolf smile.

I look towards the boat and see almost everyone is boarded 'clap clap' Getting the two gremlins' attention pointing towards the boat.

"Come on Gon, Kei don't want to be left behind, race you to the boat!" Killua says rushing by with Gon and Kei not far behind.

I smile at their antics that came with most kids that can make everything a game. 'I got attached before I even noticed'
