Network Error [Cancelled]

Laney's P.O.V

I covered my head with the covers as my mom opened the curtains.

"Mom..."

She chuckled and I groaned again.

"Rise and shine sweetie! You don't want to get late to band practice do you?"

I looked to my clock.

"There's only one hour left!"

I ran towards the bathroom and closed the door.

"Laney you left your clothes here."

"Right..."

I ate my breakfast quickly, grabbed my bass and walked towards Corey's house. I looked to the street and saw a pair of trucks from the eletronic store. They must be taking the new phones to the shop.

When I reached the garage I knocked twice. Nobody answered. I looked to the ground and saw a fallen note. I picked it up and started to read.

Hey Lanes, today dad's painting the garage so we'll practice in my room. Go to the front door, there's a spare key under the mat.

Corey's P.O.V

"Where's Laney?"

I looked at Kin. He had looked up from his keyboard and was staring at me with an raised eyebrow.

"I don't know. Maybe she is..."

"You do realise that there is a thing called cellphone that let's you send a message to let someone know that practice isn't in the garage instead of putting in the door a note that might fall and fly away."

We looked at the door. Laney was glaring at me, her arms crossed over her chest. I chuckled nervously.

"Yeah... About that..."

I pouted and stared at her with puppy dog eyes.

"I'm sowey! Don't be mad Laney."

I felt a pillow hitting the back of my head and heard the twins snickering.

"Ow..."

"Don't be an idiot Core. Now let's start practice."

She sat in my bed and pulled her bass out of her case. I glared at her and pouted again while crossing my arms.

"At least you could have said you were sorry."

"I could but then I would be lying."

She poked her tongue out and started to play along with Kin and Kon. I rolled my eyes and joined them with my guitar.

After practising the whole day we went to the living room to watch a movie (The twins and Laney's parents let them stay for a sleepover). The first one to reach it would get to chose the movie. It was Kon who won so we ended up watching a comedy that didn't make any sense but was kinda funny.

I glanced around the room. Kin and Kon were sitting in the floor while me and Laney were in the couch. She was currently sleeping. She didn't look confortable tough.

I pushed her against me and layed her head on my lap. She opened her eyes a little and whispered.

"What are you doing?"
