Eventually she convinces you to let go and you both go back to your apartment. She has offered to stay and you happily accepted not wanting to be alone with this officer that's coming nor be alone in general. You hope you're wrong but deep down you have a feeling things are gonna get bad soon.

You've both been watching funny YouTube videos for a couple of hours before hearing a knock at the door. Hannah tells you she'll get it and before you have time to respond she's already at the door. You hear a male's voice "Hi I'm officer Morgan are you Ms.Brandt?" he asks. "No sir I'm her friend." "If I may where is Ms.Brandt?" "She's in the shower right now. She'll be out soon though." "Oh I see! Mind if I come inside ma'am?" "Let me go ask her first if she's ok with it." Before the male can answer Hannah shuts the door. "Who's at the door?" I ask. "It's an officer. He wants to come inside are you comfortable with that? I'm not afraid to tell him he can't come in if you aren't ready to talk to anyone."

"No no it's ok. I don't want to be rude especially if he's the one who's going to be watching over me. I don't want to make things uncomfortable between us because there's no telling how long this whole ordeal could take." I smile at her being somewhat emotionally and mentally exhausted. "Alright but if at any time you feel uncomfortable just tap me twice and I will ask him to leave for you ok? I got your back." She returns a comforting smile back at me before going back over to the door.

She opens the door and tells the officer he can come inside as she holds it open for him. "Thank you ma'am. When do you think Ms.Brandt will be do- Oh hello! I'm officer Morgan are you Ms.Brandt?" He smiles hopefully at you. "Y-Yes I am. It's nice to meet you officer." You nervously pick at your fingernails. "Nice to meet you as well ma'am! I'm the officer who's been assigned to stay with you for a while. If it makes you more comfortable you can call me Michael." He extends a hand to shake. You hesitate nervously but shake his hand. 

"The chief told me to stay with you at all times. Now obviously I'm not gonna go with you to the bathroom or anything like that but otherwise I must be within earshot. Are you ok with that ma'am?" You nod as Hannah puts a reassuring hand on your shoulder as she sits beside you on the couch. "Great! Now if you're willing and comfortable I can stay inside on your couch or in a spare room if you have one. If you aren't comfortable with that though then I'll stay in my patrol car outside. It's your choice Ms.Brandt."

You nod once more "You can stay on the couch. I would feel bad making the person who's protecting me sleep outside in a car. Do you know how long this will last?" "No ma'am I don't. Honestly as far as I know I'll be here till you decide you'd rather me stay outside or they catch your attacker." "Alright. Well, thank you for doing this for me Mr.Michael." "It's no problem ma-" "Please I appreciate the manners but you can call me y/n sir." "-Alright my apologies y/n. But still, I don't mind doing this it's my job to protect people after all."

"Well Ms.y/n I need to run to my vehicle for a moment but I'll be right back alright?" "Alright take your time no rush heh." I awkwardly smile at him as he nods and leaves. "Something isn't right" I look over hearing Hannah speak after the officer leaves. "Hm? What do you mean?" I tilt my head at her. "He just seems off. Trust me I'm rarely ever wrong about people. My gut tells me he's bad news. Remember I told you when we first met how I'm an empath? Well, he gives off a threatening dangerous energy. I don't like it." 

I facepalm and softly laugh. "C'mon Hannah yknow I'm not big on all the empath energy reading stuff. It'll be ok don't worry. Officers protect people not attack for no reason and I won't give him any reason to see me as a threat." I smile at her reassuringly. She sighs but gives me a nod still having an uncertain expression. "If it makes you feel better and you want to you can stay with me for a while to protect me from the big bad cop." I give her a teasing smile. She rolls her eyes trying to hide a smile of her own. "Since he's on the couch where would I sleep though?" She raises an eyebrow.
