"Getting changed, do you mind?" You asked, spinning your finger, motioning for Gavin to turn around.
Gavin grunted but complied, averting his eyes elsewhere. "It's not like I haven't seen you naked before," he mumbled.
You flushed, "That's different and you know it." Gavin let a 'whatever' and let you finish changing.
You packed up your duffel bag, letting Gavin know he could turn back around. "Let me walk you to your car," he bargained, looking up at you from his seated position.
You pursed your lips, "You can walk me to the door."
"Deal."
You grinned as you reached for your bag but Gavin got to it before you, slinging it over his shoulder as he stood. You narrowed your eyes at him but he just gave you one of his blinks that's intended to be a wink but he can't wink so he just does that instead.
Gavin followed behind you, like a guard dog, daring anyone to approach you. You stopped in your tracks causing Gavin to bump into you.
"What?" Gavin questioned before following your gaze, locking in on his target. Connor. Your eyes met Connor's from across the precinct, and you couldn't force yourself to look away. His eyes were moving rapidly, taking in your appearance.
You were frozen as Gavin stormed past you, your duffel bag long forgotten. "Hey, fuckface!" Gavin shouted at Connor before lunging at him. You forced your legs from your spot as you rushed towards their pair, other officers attempting to pry the pair apart. Well... mostly just attempting to pry Gavin off of Connor.
Gavin was knocked back and you grabbed his bicep, pulling him farther away from Connor. "What the hell is wrong with you," you scolded through your clenched teeth. Gavin panted, his gaze glued on the android. You shoved him before returning for your bag.
"Let's go," you said as you grabbed Gavin and headed for the door. You forced yourself to keep your head forward. Don't look at him.
"Thought I was only allowed to walk you to the door," Gavin said once you got to your car, a smug look on his face.
You whipped around to face him, "I don't need you fighting my battles for me; I never did." Your heart started to pound and your hands were shaking.
Gavin's face contorted, his temper flaring, "You weren't going to do anything about it, so I took the initiative."
"That's my choice to make, not yours," you snapped. You opened your car door, chucking your bag in the passenger side.
"C'mon, sweetheart, don't be like that," Gavin began but stopped when you glared at him. He sulked as you clambered into your car, slamming your door after you. You drove off, Gavin's image in the review mirror getting smaller as the seconds crawled by.

You were calm on the drive home, the music on the radio fighting back against the oppressive silence that threatened to overtake the car. You gripped the steering wheel, trying to veer your mind elsewhere.
You pulled up to the parking lot of your apartment building, yanking the keys out of the ignition once you parked. You grabbed your duffel bag, slinging it over your shoulder once you got out.
You shoved open the door to your apartment building, shivering from the cool evening air. Snow is coming.
"Good evening, Doctor," the android at the front desk greeted you. "An early night tonight?" he questioned, a placid smile on his face.
You scanned the people in various forms of workwear rush by, not paying any mind to the androids who greeted them at the door or lugged their groceries for them. You knew from experience that most of the time it was the people who were disgustingly wealthy who mistreated androids just because they could afford another one.
