Mikayla's POV

3 weeks have gone by since Josh met my parents, his parents are so sweet to me. But Josh has been showing a lot of red flags... he keeps on judging my almost every move, he barely lets me talk to Peter or Ned anymore because their boys. He keeps touching me and trying to convince me to have sex with him, he calls me fat and tells me to go on diets.

He gets mad at me every time I mention one of my uncles and he gets almost abusive when I mention Pietro which makes me feel so unsafe. I can't talk to anyone about it and I don't want to leave him, I like him.

I went to 1st period and Amelia was sitting in my seat next to Josh. She was flirting with him "hey Amelia" I said with a fake smile, she rolled her eyes "hey" She said before smiling at Josh and moving. Amelia had been avoiding me, Mj, Ned, and Peter for a while because she joined cheerleading.

"Hey Peter" I said while sitting next to him. I decided to switch seats with Amelia because she was flirting with MY boyfriend. "Mikayla! Come sit with me" Josh demanded "no thank you, I'm with my friends" I said "Mik you need to dump him, he has red flags all over him" Mj said while touching my arms.

"I can't" I whispered "why not? He literally told you yesterday at lunch when you were eating a cookie that you need to go on a diet" Mj gave me a sad look and so did Peter. "He's just making sure I watch what I eat" I know it wasn't true but I love him and he's the second boyfriend I've had.

Josh gave me a mad look before going back to talking to Amelia, I pulled out my homework to let the teacher check it.

At Lunch

I sat down next To Peter and grabbed an apple to eat while talking about the decathlon competition coming up. All 4 of us were in it, Amelia called us nerds for joining it last year, Josh came up to me a few minutes later.

He kissed my cheek and sat next to me "hey babe" he said "hey" I gave him a fake sweet smile. "Didn't you just have a yogurt in third period? Now you eating again?" He said while giving me a dirty look. "Leave her alone" Peter said while I put my apple down in guilt.

"Don't talk to my girl, she's mine" He said while leaning behind me to Peter "you don't own her" Mj said "shut it" Josh snapped "I own her and I always will" He said, Ain't nobody own me. Me personally... I'm not letting that slide.

"Josh you don't own me. And don't talk to my friends that way, now leave before I make you" I snapped at him almost yelling. He scoffed and got up.

"Mik..." Peter put a hand on my shoulder, I felt like crying but didn't want to look weak I front of my friends. "Please leave him before something bad happens" he said. I sighed and ran my hand through my red hair.

After school Pietro picked me up again, I said goodbye to Josh when he came. I saw Pietro giving Josh a death look and Josh gave one back, I rolled my eyes and got into the car. "Why don't you like him" I asked Pietro, he was silent. He just sighed flustered and drives away.

Great. He's ignoring me again, lemme guess I said something wrong again

"How come when ever I try to ask you a simple question you ignore me" I asked with an attitude, he stayed silent "helllooo Sonic, I know you can hear me" I waved my hand near him but tried not to distract him from driving.

"Just shut up" he said "don't tell me what to do" I gave him a look "I'm in charge of you when your with me, your a minor" He gripped the steering wheel harder again. Luckily he didn't start speeding up

"What ever, just know I won't listen to you" I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. "Why because Josh said so" Pietro sped up a little but not too much and sounded annoyed. "What do you care about him" I said "I don't care about him, I care about you and he's not a good influence" Pietro mumbled "you don't know what's good for me, you don't even like or acknowledged me half the time"

We were silent after that. When we got home I could smell Kraft Mac n cheese. "Aunt Yelena!" I wen to hug her "hey Mik"She hugged me back. "Want some macncheese?" She asked me. I hesitated, I always loved eating and Mac n cheese but like Josh said I need to watch what I eat. I know because my dad was a super soldier I can't get fat or unfit but I needed to listen to him.

"Uh no thank you, I ate at lunch" I gave her a smile and walked away, she looked confused. Pietro gave me a confused look and so did everyone else in the room, they all knew I loved Mac n cheese

I went to my room to do my homework. About an hour later FRI called me down for dinner "tell them I won't be attending dinner tonight please"

A few minutes later there was a knock on my door, "come in" mom walked in and sat on my bed "you feeling ok sweetie" She asked "ya I'm fine, Just not hungry" I gave her a smile and went back to taking notes.

She put a hand on my forehead to see my temperature "I said I wasn't sick" I laughed a little "did something happen, you love Mac N cheese and usually you are more exited" She tilted her head with a sad smile.

"Just wasn't the best day, I don't want to talk about it mom" I said "mk, just know I'm here for you" I nodded my head, she hugged me and left.

After I finished my homework I went to FaceTime Pete. "Heyyyy" Peter was on his couch. "Heyy, I finna rant" I said while standing up to put my notebooks in my bag. I had my AirPods in so no one could hear Pete.

"Spill" Peter said. "Ok so you know how Pietro nearly got us both killed in the car the first time he picked up from school, well he got mad at me and gave him a dirty look because I kissed Josh I front of him, then he said Josh wasn't a good influence to me. I mean what does he give a damn about he doesn't even like or acknowledge me! And then got all mad again at me. I swear he's bipolar" I sighed.

"Honestly just ignore him" Peter said "you know what maybe your right. He doesn't deserve my attention nor my amazingness" "thank you peteybean" that was my nickname for him in third grade "mikmik" I rolled my eyes.

"Thank you for letting me rant and vent" I said to him. We talked for about an hour before he had to go.
