~Ch 2~

I shut my mouth quickly. Whoever this chick was, she had this quiet and natural beauty about herself. She must've worked here, since nobody just starts randomly rearranging books in the stores.

"U-uh yeah. I'm really enjoying it." I tried looking for her name tag, yet couldn't see it. Crap.

"That's good. Ally Condie is a really great author." She responded calmly while moving more books.

"I can tell. It's not even the middle of the book, yet it's already getting good." I smiling at the girl and held the book up. She snickered slightly

"Yeah, it's one of my personal favourites. You should read Divergent one day."

"Who's that by?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Veronica Roth." She smiled slightly as she said this. I realised she hadn't looked at me, at all.

"Oh cool, maybe I'll check it out after this book. Any other suggestions?" I seriously just wanted her to look at me. I don't know why, but I do. How do you have a conversation with someone and not look at them once? Sure you're organising books but you could glance over.

"Hm... The Perks Of Being A Wallflower was really good." She held the book up. I smirked and almost started laughing. No, forget it. I started laughing.

She looked at me. "What's so-" and then she gasped. Finally. Maybe she recognises me. Well, she said the book was good, but that doesn't mean she saw the movie right? Whatever, all I know is that her eyes were brown. But they were a beautiful caramel brown. Which only led me to think about my latte.

Wow Logan. You see a pretty girl and she reminds you of a drink?

"Are... You're Logan Lerman." It was a statement, meaning she did know me. Maybe she saw the Lightning Thief.

I nodded and smiled sheepishly, and she smiled back.

"I'm a really big fan. You're such an amazing actor." She put the book back and fixed her hair a little.

"Aha thanks. Do you work here?" I questioned, scratching the back of my head. She nodded and was about to say something when someone called my name.

"Logan?" It was the Starbucks cashier. Wow. I kept him waiting a while.

"Ah.. Sorry, that's my drink. Can I... Can I get you something?" I smiled at her, blushing slightly. She did the same.

"You don't have to."

"Nah it's cool, I want to!" I started walking back to the counter and picked up my drink. "What would you like?"

She thought for a moment and then decided. "White chocolate mocha frappuccino." She started to take money out of her pocket but I quickly paid for her.

"Logan. You didn't have to." She pouted slightly.

"I know, but I wanted to." I winked at her, causing her to blush. Whoa. Why did I just do that? I shouldn't be flirting with her, especially since I just met her. Well, I don't even know her name really...

The cashier handed me he drink, "thanks, have a nice day!" I smiled and passed it on to her.

"Here ya are," I grinned as her eyes lit up after the first sip.

"Thank you," she blushed a little.

"My pleasure." I looked in my hand only to see that I still had Matched. "Hey could I buy this?" I looked at her hopefully.

She smiled an nodded while going behind the counter. I followed and handed her the book while taking a large sip of my steamy beverage.

"$8.59 please." She scanned the book swiftly just as I swiped my card. As the receipt printed, she handed me my new book and drank some of her mocha.

"Thanks again, Logan. That was really sweet of you." She handed me the receipt.

"No problem. I'll see you around, 'kay?" I hope I see her again. Gosh she's beautiful. She nodded with a happy smile on her face.

"Bye," she waved as I walked out.

Oh shoot, I never got her name. I scrambled to pull the now crumpled receipt out of my pocket. Up at the top, her name was printed.

Caroline Schreck.
