Abyss Aether × Xiao || You can try to escape ||

(Aether POV)

I lie there in darkness. Feeling numb.

"Am I dead?" I mumble to myself. However that thought was completely diminished when the suns light began to shine through my shut eyes.

I slowly open my eyes, squinting them when I try to adjust to the bright lights. I look around and realize that I'm back in Xiaos room.

'Did he come to find me' I ponder to myself, before I notice a certain head of teal hair.

I look to my side and see Xiao resting his head on the bed, sleeping soundly.

I slightly blush when I realize that he must of not wanted to leave my side.

"Geez, why do you have to be so cute..." I whisper, gently putting my hand on Xiaos head. I look down and see the bandages wrapped around me. I start to get up from the bed, but then I head a voice behind me.

"Where do you think you're going?" Xiao mumbled, his voice slightly scratchy from just waking up. I look at him.

"Im just gonna go have a shower and change these bandaids" I smile. He looks at me, anger showing on his face.

"Well, from today until you're completely healed, I will now be your personal nurse so you have to run whatever you're gonna do with me"

I stare at him, confusion clearly written all over my face, before I laugh and slowly bring my face up to his.

"If so, than does that mean I get to make any requests I want?" I muse. He looks at me warily before answering me.

"To... an extent" he mumbles. I smile mischievously.

"Well then..." I snicker, grabbing Xiaos hand, "...can I do this?"

I pull Xiao into my lap and hold him there. It takes him a second to process the situation before trying to escape.

"Owwww Xiao" I wince, my acting on point. He immediately stops struggling and sits still. I guess he must really believe that he actually hurt me.

I found out Xiao never likes to teleport when within arms reach of people unless it's an emergency because he worries his karmic debt will effect the person.

"I....I didn't..... I'm sorry" he stutters. I start feeling bad. I guess he really is serious about not wanting to hurt me.

"N-no its fine" I reassure, trying to get him to relax. Why do I have to be so stupid sometimes. He puts his arms on my shoulders, trying to steady himself on my lap. I blush, feeling him hold onto me.

I was doing this to tease him, but I guess it's not working.

Or so I thought.

When I look up at Xiaos face I realize that he's avoiding all eye contact with me. His face bright red.

I look at him before smiling.

'Yep, definitely the cutest thing I've ever seen' I think to myself. 

"So, can I go and shower?" I question, hoping his answer will be yes because to be truthful I felt all gross and I think I smelled off. He looks at me before nodding.

"Fine, but I will be right outside the door, so if anything happens, you are to call for me right away"

I smile at him. He gently gets up off my lap and I stand up right after him and make my way over to the bathroom. Once inside, I start the shower and take all my clothes off.

~10 minutes later~

I hop out of the shower and grab a tower and wrap it around my bottom half. As I walk over to the counter, I grab a roll of bandages and walk out. Right as I leave the bathroom I see Xiao next to the door. When he looks at me, his cheeks immediately turn a bright shade of red and he turns to hide his face.

I can't help but laugh. He is seriously going to kill me with his cutest one day. I walk over to the bed and Xiao follows behind me. I sit down and begin to wrap my head and stomach with them. As soon as I'm finished I stand up and do a twirl for Xiao, since he wanted to make sure I did them properly.

"Okay, they look secure" he comments. I smirk at him and walk over to grab my clothes. I turn around and see Xiao staring at me. I grin and walk over to him.

"Oh Xiao~" I hum, grabbing his chin with one hand and under one of his thighs with the other, "if you want to watch me change, you could have just asked".

His face flushes completely as he's frozen from embarrassment.

"I-no...why would- I would never...want-" Xiao continues to fumble his words. I smile at him. I remove my hand from his face and bring it down under his other thigh. I then lift him into the air, earning a little shriek of surprise. He immediately wraps his arms around my neck out of instinct, trying to stable himself in the air.

However, once he realizes what's going on he loosens his grip and stared at my face, which is only a few inches away.

"Y-you!?" he yells. I begin to giggle. He seriously has the cutest reaction to everything, how could I not get the urge to tease him.

"Wait a minute, I still have to give you your medicine" he remembers. As soon as I hear the word medicine, I drop him on the bed and try to run away.

Yep that's right, I hate taking medicine. I will avoid doing it at all costs.

When I try to run though, Xiao grabs me by the wrist and flings me down on the bed. He pins my hands above my head and grab the medicine.

"Drink" he states. I turn my head away from it. I refuse to drink. He continues to try to force me to drink it, but to no avail. A sigh of frustration leaves his mouth.

"That's it" he sighs. He brings the medicine up to his mouth and pours it in. He let's go of my hands and grabs my face, and then he did the last thing I ever expected him to do....

He kissed me

I was in so much shock that I didn't even realize the medicine running down my throat. The horrible taste brought me back to reality and I tried to separate from Xiao. He sat on my lap and held my shoulders down. After he forced all the medicine down, he separated our lips. I stared up at him in shock.

His face was bright red as he realized what he did and the fact that he was sitting on my lap....again.

He got up and back away. I look over at him and smirked. His face got even redder and he immediately runs away and locks the bathroom door. I get up off the bed and make my way to the bathroom door.

"Xiao~"

"You naughty adeptus"

"Who knew you had it in you to do that"

"But...."

"It's revenge time"

Those were the last words to leave my mouth....before I kicked the door open.
