You know, looking at a gentle night onto a village with bright colors is quite relaxing, if you think about it. Deep inside the homes, slumbering quietly as the Tree of Life's power emanated throughout the town, a feeling a peace wavered through, without even the thought of trouble.

But, for a few corrupted shapes, it was the perfect time to finally steal the power they've all been waiting for- or, at least one of them. Heavy footsteps followed from the shadows, four pink so-called monsters padding to the clearing. "Take a look at this beauty!" A hearty laugh called out from one of the tallest- and bulkiest, as he stomped his way towards the glowing white wood. Spikes lined his jaw line, with hovering claws at the ready to rip apart anyone who even came close. "Wonder how many Treeangles are in this one."

He pulled his axe out from a hoister on his back, slamming it on the ground to make it crackle with energy, before crashing it onto the base of the tree. All that came from a response was crackles and the cawing of angry birds, awoken from their rest and flying off.

"...Y'know, don't you think it's a bit strange that they have all this.. immense power just lying around for the taking? Like, there's no guards keeping watch or anything. Not sure about you guys, but that's kinda sus if you ask me. Maybe we shouldn't be doing this."

The youngest of the four corruption brothers stood with his back pressed to the glowing white wood of one of the smaller Treeangles, his arms crossed in a bored manner. Despite the carefree tone in his voice and the nonchalant expression that Glitch wore, he was admittedly worried about going through with such a big heist. Sure, having power was nice and all, but stealing food and pickpocketing money off Shapes to survive was one thing, and stealing an entire religious idol that stood proudly in the village for decades was another. Something was bound to go wrong, and the aspiring DJ wanted no part of it.

"Don't be such a kill joy!" Zuro snarled. "We're getting what we wanted- what we deserve! You get me- right, Blixie?" He turned towards the second eldest, Blixer. He had always wished to get back in their line of power, to show the world what they were capable of. Being the most organized of the four, he made most of the major decisions- but from what he heard, he was never informed of this. "Uhm." Was his simple answer, embarrassingly looking towards the second brother.

"I think it's the best idea we got yet!" Dasani burst up, a wide, almost eerie smile plastered on his face. The most energetic of the four, always caffeinated and sleepless. He was reckless, and latched onto the others and following along. No wonder he agreed to this death wish. "That's what I'm talking about!" He gave a heavy pat on Dasani's back, making him cough out from the force. "Let's get to work!"

A groan of disappointment left Glitch, though it was hard to tell if he was getting secondhand embarrassment or just annoyed that he had to work. "Glitch! Catch 'em Treeangles when they fall." Zuro commanded, though Glitch only rolled his eye, staying put by the Tree. "Dasani, make sure no one gets to us." Dasani gave a quick nod, running off on all fours to set up traps on the island. "Blixer!" The last brother who needed a job. His silver eyes trickled up to the eldest, waiting for his word. "Make sure the roots don't break."

He gave a confused expression. "..For?" Blixer's brows furrowed, making Zuro pause and look back at him. "I dunno. You aren't supposed to break 'em, some old history book said." He shrugged, giving test swings for his axe in the air. The shape sighed, bringing his claws up to his face to give something of a facepalm, before going off to do his job. The Tree's roots weren't that hard to spot, let alone hold, since it was so large they simply poked out of the ground. Blixer gazed cautiously at the root, carefully holding onto it with one of his arms, then another one behind him. He hoped that this was at least enough.
