"You're home?" mark turned his head at jeno's direction, welcoming the samoyed looking male with a teasing smile carved in his face
Jeno rolled his eyes annoyingly at his older brother laying down cozily at the sofa, mark is living with their parents at the house they bought at Toronto three years ago yet the older still prefers to bother him at his apartment.
"What are you doing here again, minhyung hyung?" he asked, emphasizing the older's korean name. He watch the male get up from the sofa while putting his bag down, Mark don't significantly hate it, he just prefers to get called by his english name.
Now it's mark turn to roll his eyes at jeno who proudly smiles at him, making the latter's eyes form a crescent "Pshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" he snorted, going back from laying down on the younger's couch "How's your work?"
Going ahead to the kitchen, jeno take one more glance at the older before turning his back "The usual..." he responded casually, the younger male's head actually aching because of this co-worker of his who didn't do anything but throw corny jokes at him all day.
It's been five years since the Lees move to Canada, if you're wondering how? Thanks to Mark's great musical abilities that someone from a prestigious music school in Toronto notice his potential to be more great at it and offered him a scholarship for him to study there. At first he was having second thoughts and was in the edge of declining the offer due to financial issues however, that person offered them to provide the needs in order for them to migrate so he immediately grab the opportunity and accept it.
That turns out to be the best this they have ever made. Their first two years of living in Canada was a struggle. Jeno had troubles finding a job because of communication barrier because compare to Mark who had it easy learning how to speak and write in english while it is an opposite situation for him, the latter is also taking part-time jobs at night while studying since they don't want to make their parents work due to age.
But as years gone by, they was able to get through the hardships and now are in the state of being financially stable. They are able to invest with necessities and buy things they wish to have without feeling guilty about it.
When he got into his small kitchen, jeno immediately goes to the refrigerator and took the tumbler full of water and gulp it down right after. Aside from dealing with the not-so-annoying colleague of his, the coffee shop he's working at had a lot of costumers for the whole day making him feel a bit tired from doing his work.
Unlike in the past, the owner of the coffee shop is paying him good so he doesn't have to get multiple jobs to provide needs for himself. He's still taking occasional gigs during weekends though like freelance modeling because it is still money.
"You know what, I have something to show you."
Jeno turned to face Mark wearing blank expression on his face "Will that change my life for good or something?" he monotonously asked
Shrugging his shoulders at the younger's not-very-questioning tone, Mark wiggle his brows in a teasing manner before showing Jeno the article he read a while ago "Not really..."
Jeno's eyes immediately rolled again at the content that is flashed on the older's screen, he can't help but scowl while scanning the written article. It is a paparazzi news about chenle and his wife with a headline 'the zhong couple happily dating each other at the pavements' and a candid photo of them underneath with their arms linked.
It is such an irritating view to look at.
"Kindly get that shit away from me, Mark hyung." he turn his back to the older and place the tumbler inside the sink
