Little Lloyd fluff!

I'm gonna stick an old OC of mine in there, cuz yeah, I can.

(Old cuz I made her years ago XD)

Rose giggled as she ran from Lloyd, her short little legs barely keeping ahead of him.

She'd snuck a piece of his candy and he was out for blood.

"S'cuse me, Zane!"

She squealed as she almost blew the nindroid over.

"Run, little flower! Lloyd will not show mercy!"

Zane called playfully, holding up the laundry basket as Lloyd ran past.

Rose laughed, running out onto the deck and ducking under one of the booms as it swung toward her.

"I WILL AVENGE MY CANDY!!!"

Lloyd yelled, lunging for the pink-clothed girl and yelping as he almost got smacked in the face.

"Watch out, Green Bean!"

Kai joked, shooting fire at a dummy.

Rose giggled and waited until Kai was powering up before running in front of the dummy.

Lloyd followed her, not noticing the fire barreling toward him.

"OI! WATCH OUT!"

Kai yelled, causing Rose to half-turn and launch herself at Lloyd to get him out of the way.

The fire enveloped her, and she froze, surrounded by the searing, whirling, unpredictable, life-taking plasma.

She was unharmed, but she was catapulted back into memories she never wanted to relive.

Thick, choking smoke filled the air.

Swirling colors of red and orange and yellow engulfed Rose's mother, and her screams were quickly silenced by the roar and crackle of the fire.

Rose stood unharmed in the ruins of her home, unable to look away from the burned and blackened corpses of her only remaining family.

"HOLY SH-SNICKERDOODLES ARE YOU OKAY ROSE???"

Rose was shaken back to reality as Kai yelled, his hands still smoldering.

He looked quite terrifying.

Rose shrunk back, hiding behind the dummy, and Lloyd noticed.

"Uh, Kai, your hands are still on fire."

He pointed out, causing Kai to stop and look down, then shake his hands to put out the fire.

He walked timidly toward the tiny girl, holding out his hand and feeling a pang in his heart as she flinched.

"Hey, flower, it's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you."

Kai held out his hands, watching as Rose warily reached out and placed her small hand in his, ready to snatch it back at any moment.

"See? I'm in control of my powers, and I'll make sure my fire doesn't hurt you ever again."

Kai smiled gently, then chuckled as Rose hugged him.

Lloyd hesitated a moment, then Rose grabbed his sleeve and pulled him into the hug.

He was stiff for a moment because he'd never been hugged before, but he eventually relaxed and put his head on Rose's shoulder.

They stayed like that for a moment before Lloyd suddenly broke away and started running.

Rose was confused, then she checked her pockets and shrieked.

"LLOYD!!!"

She tore after the laughing blonde boy in pursuit of the candy he'd stolen back.

Kai laughed, then tilted the dummy upright and resumed training.

I'm sorry, but trauma is one of the best tools in a writer's toolbox.

Quick summary of Rose's story: 

Her father was the Elemental Master of Healing, but he died right after Rose was born, causing her to be raised solely by her mother. 

Rose's mom died in a fire when she was little, orphaning her. 

Her father had appointed Master Wu to be her guardian in case of danger, so she was sent to live with him. 

The ninja came, Nya, Lloyd, blah blah blah.

Rose has PTSD from fire, so it took her a while to warm up to Kai.

She and Nya clicked right away, cuz girl power.

Jay and Rose got each other because of their shared love of jokes and humor.

Zane was always willing to listen to Rose, so she has a much stronger bond with him than anyone else besides Lloyd.

Ever since she'd met Lloyd, she'd stuck by his side and never given up on him.

She of all people knew what it felt like to be alone, so she made sure he never suffered the feeling as she did.

Ha, and I said short.

Anyway, this takes place before the Grundel and time potion, so Lloyd and Rose are still kids.
