Felix's POV
"Hey Felix!"

"Hi!"

She walked up to me.

"Are you okay? You look...different."

"I'm just stressed. I'm here by myself and there's normally more than one person here."

"Oh no. I'm sorry."

"It's fine. Do you need help finding anything?"

"I'm not sure yet."

"Alright. I'll be here if you do."

She started looking around the store. I went around making sure nothing was misplaced. After a while, Mariposa told me she was ready to pay. I started scanning everything.

"We should do something together."

HUH?!

"Okay. Like what?"

"When's your lunch break?"

"Oh uh. I probably don't have one today."

"Huh?"

"I'm uh. The only one here right now."

"I can help if you want."

"As nice as that sounds, I might get in trouble for asking for help."

"But...you're alone."

"Yeah. I know. I'll be fine."

"So when are you free?"

"Uhhh tomorrow."

"Alright. What time?"

"Are you...asking me out?"

Her face turned red.

"Yes?"

"You are asking an asshole like me out?"

"You're not an asshole. You may seem like one but, I know you're not."

"Yeah okay."

"Anyway, what time tomorrow?"

"Honestly whenever is fine."

"So 6 am?"

"Okay that's not good. Actually...you're gonna think I'm insane but, okay."

Her eyes widened.

"I-I was joking."

"Okay. I'm not. An entire day out, might be good for me. I am stuck inside all day. I have no friends so..."

"You know where, I live right?"

"Yeah. Why?"

"You have my number too right?"

"Yeah. Why?"

"Let me know when, you're on your way."

"Woah woah. I can come over?"

"Yeah. We can have breakfast or something, then we could do something."

"Ye-yeah sure."

She smiled.

"Alright. See you in the morning."

"Did Kat put you up to this? She was literally asking me this morning, why I don't have a girlfriend."

"Oh no. I haven't seen her lately. How is she?"

"Good. Sky is too."

"Are you gonna hide this from her?"

"I-I don't think so. She'd probably be excited. Are you gonna hide this?"

"I don't know. Maybe."

Her phone went off. She took it out of her bag.

"Shit. I have to go. Destiny has a doctor's appointment. I'll see you in the morning."

"O-okay."

She left and my manager walked in.

"Hey Felix. Where's Dale?"

"I've got no idea."

"You seem bubbly. What's up with you?"

"I uh..have a date."

Her eyes widened.

"Holy shit!"

Dale ran back in. His eyes were red.

"Are you high?! Felix is he high?"

"I think."

"Dale go home. Felix, I'll pay you double for today."

"Oh no. Y-you don't have to do that."

"You've been here on your own for I don't even know how long. I'm paying you double."

"Okay? Thanks?"

Dale went home and it was just me and my manager Keira the rest of the day. I went home confused.

Why does she wanna go out with me?

I opened the front door and Katrina ran up to me. She started hugging me.

"You're home!"

I picked her up.

"How was school?"

"Boring."

"Oh the weirdest thing happened to me."

I started walking to the kitchen.

"I saw Mariposa today. She asked me out. Did you have something to do with that?"

"No. Are you going on a date with her?!"

"Yeah. We're having one tomorrow. Where's your aunt?"

"Did I just hear that right?"

"Found her."

"You have a date? With Mariposa?"

"Yeah. I don't understand why either."

"What time?"

"See now that's the thing..."

"Oh god."

"It's at 6 am."

"You are fucking insane. At least, you're getting outta the house."

"That's what I thought too."
