DISCONTINUED | "I AM YOUR PALADIN!" (Voltron x Reader x Keith)

A/n: Happy Halloween! I tried my best, but I hope you all like it! Yes, barely anyone commented on my suggestion but I love Voltron so much that I had to do one. Yes, I put in a bit too long timeline and this chapter is super long.

Everyone was in the lounge. Keith was fiddling with his blade and Shiro was laying across half the couch, taking a nap. Pidge and Hunk were talking about stuff while Lance was speaking Spanish to himself. You were sitting between Keith and Lance, staring at the wall. Allura and Coran were talking about the days and time of Altean culture and stuff.

A long silence stretched. You leaned on Keith's shoulder, feeling sleepy

"OH!" 

Lance's scream had a big effect.

Shiro woke with a start and fell off the couch. Keith dropped his blade, narrowly missing his foot. Pidge jumped a foot in the air while Hunk yelled. You got startled twice, first with Lance, next with Hunk. Allura and Coran both jumped and fell.

"S-sorry." Lance said with an awkward smile. Keith snatched his blade from the ground and pointed it at Lance with a frown.

Shiro groaned and got up, rubbing his back. Allura quickly regained her posture. Pidge adjusted her glasses with a flash of light on the lens. 

Shaken, you sat upright again.

"Why did you do that?" Hunk said quietly, rubbing his arms.

"I just remembered something! Coran, Allura, how long does it take for Altea to orbit your sun?" Lance said.

"Uh, 28 Earth hours is a day on Altea." Allura said slowly.

"We left Earth on August 2nd." Lance started to pace. (A/n: When I re-read this part, I thought it said 'Lance started to pee.')

"How do you remember?!" you asked.

Lance ignored you. "It's been around 14 months and 29 days since we left." (A/n: I changed it a bit this is completely wrong in real life)

"He's right. But where are you going with this?" Pidge said as she did a quick calculation.

"It's supposed to be Halloween today!" Lance jumped up and down in excitement.

Pidge realized and whooped. Keith's expression of boredom didn't change. Shiro's face had an excited expression too.

"Why does Shiro look so excited? I thought he was 24 in Earth years..." you asked.

"He was born in a leap year. His age changes every four years. So he's technically six years old." Keith explained.

"So he's a child? How can a child lead Voltron?..." 

"That," Keith said. "Is a good point."

"Also, doesn't Shiro have a boyfriend?"

"Is this 'Halloween' you have a kind of event you celebrate on planet Earth?" Coran said.

"Yes. It's where we dress up as whatever or whoever we want and go around peoples homes asking for treats. Then we light up pumpkins, which is an orange food. We put fire or candles inside them." Lance explained quickly.

"I don't like Halloween." Hunk sighed.

"Interesting. So, this quintant is supposed to be Halloween?" Allura spoke.

"Correct Princess." Pidge replied.

"We should decorate the Castle!" Lance squealed.

"Can you tell me more? You know Lance's explanations miss a ton of detail. And it sounds fun!" you asked Keith. He sighed.
