Racism talked about.

Set when Andrea is sitting on the porch after she shot Daryl. It's after Jacob and Shane leave the porch.

Andrea is sitting outside the farm house watching as Jacob and Shane walk way. Rubbing her eyes she tries to regulate her breath. She felt horrible even after talking to Shane. Daryl is a member of the group and she hurt him. The door opens behind her. "Andrea no one is angry with you. Daryl least of us."
Looks down she shakes her head "I still feel horrible I could have killed him!"
"But you didn't." He says. "Daryl is a difficult person. A downright ass many times. I'm sure all of us had wanted to shoot Daryl." Smiles as he speaks.
Andrea smiles "guess your right, funny thing is Shane said the same thing." Dale forces a smile "ha really?" She nods "yeah. Ha guess you got some humor in common."
Dale is disturb that he has anything in common with Shane.

Dales pov (kinda) Of when him and Shane have the confrontation in the woods in ch 17

Dale knew deep down he couldn't kill Shane. He couldn't take a life, especially not in cold blood. It not like he is Shane who is thinks capable of killing anyone at any time. He believed killing Shane would protect the group but he couldn't do it.
Even though he still pointed the gun at Shane's chest "am I going to have to shoot you? I will kill you if I have to."
A child's scream made Dale's soul freeze. "NO, YOU WON'T HURT DADDY!!" Jacob a little boy slashed his knife at Dale. It would have cut him if Shane didn't pull Jacob back.
Dale finds it disturbing how Shane wraps around his son holding him close. He shouldn't Shane is just being kind to his son conforming him protecting his son from a man that pointed a gun at him.  But it dose Dale can't help but think that the brutality of Shane will corrupt the boy. But the boy leaned into his father.

Shane wasn't the bad guy to Jacob Dale was.
The boy curses at him. Screaming at him tears in his eyes.
Shane calls him a coward Jacob calls his a idiot.
Maybe he is both.

He threatened to make a 9 year old boy an orphan.
Was he truly moral? Hiding the guns wold of kept them from Shane but also anyone who needed on in a walker attack.

Not set at certain time except after Otis is dead. Comic Otis was racist so I thought it would be interesting to not make him perfect and give him some really big flaws. That no one but the greens know.  Also thought this would demonstrate how much Rick's group doesn't know about the greens and how they didn't know Otis at all.

Billy didn't really care that Otis was dead. He was a jerk. Was extremely racist too, Billy strongly disliked Otis. He tried to avoid Otis at all times Billy felt dirty that Otis knew how to play guitar but he couldn't let Otis ruin it for him. He would teach Glenn not only because all info should be shared but Glenn wanted to learn to and it's hard to teach yourself so he would help Glenn.
Billy didn't give a shit how much melanin was in someone's skin he didn't even understand why someone would.  He had always been friendly with everyone. Billy missed his friends he knew they were most likely dead and that hurt. He missed his brother and mother extremely. But he didn't miss Otis not one bit. It may have been unchristian but it didn't change the way he felt. Billy wanted to be a good person to be a good Christian but he can't bring himself to miss someone so hateful as Otis.
