Y/n roughly mangles their hair with an aggravated grumble. They throw their pen to the side and stare down at the notes they copied from their coworker's email. They squint at the laptop screen. The words were starting to blend together. They sigh and push their chair away from the desk.
They hide their face in their hands, choking out a sob. It was time for a break. Y/n finds their phone they threw onto their bed earlier. They ignore how late it is and decide to stay up on their phone anyway.
They find themself tapping through snap stories of their obnoxious new friends they've made over the past few years. Aphmau introduced Y/n to a whole lot of new people. All of which happen to live on the same street. Weird.
Y/n goes through their old pictures on snap out of boredom. They soon regret that decision when a video from high school pops up. Their heart aches seeing the video. It was back a few years ago about a week or two before they graduated. Y/n sighs as they watch.
It's a shaky video of Y/n being engulfed in a hug by a certain red head. Y/n is laughing as Blaze peppers kisses all over their red cheeks.
Y/n quickly clicks off before their heart dies anymore. They drop their phone on the bed next to them and stare up at the ceiling. It had been awhile since Y/n even thought about him. They've been so preoccupied with work they didn't exactly get the chance to. Y/n tries not to cry while they do their best to fall asleep for the night.

"We would like to invite you to Starlight Wonderland,"
"What?" Y/n stares blankly at Aaron's father and older sister who stand in the doorway of their home, "Why?"
"We're going to surprise Aphmau with a trip to Starlight to see Aaron again," Melissa explains, "So, we would like all their friends to be there as a surprise."
Y/n gasps, "Really? She's going to be thrilled!"
"We hope so," Derrick smiles sheepishly, "We we're going to send you guys all down a day earlier so she doesn't suspect a thing."
"Well I'd love to go," Y/n answers. They could really use the break from work. Plus they'd do anything for their friends.

Y/n noticed that all the friends that joined them on the trip down to Starlight was everyone who was involved in the incident at the lodge. Y/n felt out of place amongst them.
They gaze out of the window of the private plane at the turquoise water below. It was amazing how clear the water was. Even from their height they could clearly see boats and jet skis flying through the water. Y/n was getting antsy to land.
