After Five Years

Almost everyone in the Harbor breaks into tears of joy at seeing the twins again. All of them had been hoping to see them again.

Aether, unlike Lumine, slowly walks down the dock. Many people had come over to welcome him back. Including one of his only true friends, Zyra.

"AETHER!" she screams, running over to the Prince, hugging him so tightly that he almost suffocates.

"Z-Zyra...I'm happy to see you to, but you're hugging me too tight" Aether chuckles. She immediately lets go, laughing slightly.

"Sorry, I was just really happy to see you again" she smiles. Aether smiles at her too. She starts to look around the dock, but Aether has no clue as to what she's looking for.

"What's up?" Aether asks. Zyra looks back at him.

"I was trying to see if Xiao came down, but I don't see him. However, that's really no surprise" Zyra sighs. Aether cocks an eyebrow at her.

"What do you mean no surprise?" Aether interrogates.

"Well you see. Ever since you left, Xiao hasn't left his room in the Inn. He's been in there ever since you left" Zyra responds.

"Are you serious- wait how do you know that he's not left that room" Aether interjects. Zyra tilts her head.

"Well, since you left, Childe asked me to check on Xiao everyday, since you and I were close friends" Zyra giggles. Aether looks surprised.

"Xiao was okay staying with you. Well that's weird, he always told me he didn't like you" Aether sighs.

"Well at first, he ignored me and always tried to get me out of his room, but the more I came around and talked to him, the more he warmed up to me, and eventually, we even became friends....well I see us as friends" Zyra answers. Aether feels a smile grace his face.

"Thank goddess. I'm so glad he doesn't hate you anymore, now he shouldn't be mad at me every time I wanna hangout with you" Aether laughs. He's happy. Happy to finally be back with Zyra and Xiao.

However, he first needs to go see Xiao and show he that he's back.

"Well then, if my precious little Yaksha isn't gonna come down to see me, I guess I'll just have to go up there to see him myself" Aether thumbs up. Zyra smiles at him.

"Go get 'em tiger!" Zyra cheers, waving her arms in the air as Aether runs towards the Inn.

"Don't worry Xiao, I'm coming back" Aether whispers.

(I just wanna say, I was so embarrassed writing the smut. It felt so weird to type out all of those things😭)

"Aether....Aether....Aether...." Xiao mumbles, over and over again to himself. However, little did he know that the person he's been calling, has actually answered.

"Hmm I don't know, where am I?" Aether questions, standing across the room from Xiao. He still had his back towards him so he couldn't see him.

"Where are you. That's what I want to know" Xiao whispers, not realizing that the voice he heard was real and not just a figment of his hopeful imagination.

"Hmm, maybe turn around. That might help you" Aether smiles, playing around with Xiao.

Xiao sighs before turning around, looking around through the dark room. His eyes widen as they settle on the person standing the room.

"A-Aether" Xiao stutters, not believing what he sees. He receives a smile in response.

"Hey Xiao, long time no see" Aether waves. Xiao gets off the balcony railing, slowly walking towards Aether.
