Cory
"Damn, you have way with words" jake chuckles while digging up a grave. We usually dig graves, so this is the first time that we are ever actually digging someones up instead. There's a first for everything. "So. Remind me again why we are digging up a grave and not putting someone in it" Jake wipes sweat from his forehead and I sit on the ground beside the hole. "I'm being pinned on these murders, and I would love to know how exactly they died. If they have any marks or holes." "Good idea" jake smiles. "Yeah. I don't want anything else pinned on me. If I can prove that I didn't do the killings by showing them how exactly they died, they'd know just by how they died. Does that make sense?" He nods. "Makes sense" he says.

"Good. Keep digging. I'm gonna check we're not being watched" I walk around until I'm certain that we aren't and then head back. Once jake has finished, I help him remove what is left of the decaying body. The man seemed to look as though he was in his 40s, I would usually prey on younger. He also doesn't seem to have any marks or holes on him. Which means that I definitely didn't murder him. Instead he has a rash of strangulation around his neck. Something that I would never do. I take pictures and quickly re-bury him before dragging jake back to the house with me.

I manage to sneak back into the basement and catch some sleep before waking in the morning to the bang of the hatch door. I dart up to see Haze with the laundry in the corner. Minding her own business. I sigh and get up, stretching as I do so. I walk over and stop myself by the washing machine. "Morning" I say with a smile. "How did you sleep" she asks while folding the clean clothes and putting them in a basket to take upstairs. "Like a baby, you." "Yeah, me too. Like a baby." "I have a busy day today, I'm going to the station. Wanna come?" "Why" she asks. "I'm going to show Cooper the evidence I have that I didn't commit the crimes he's pinning me on." "And how have you got evidence" she drops a shirt into the basket. "Last night, me and jake dug up some man's body and took pictures" ... "that doesn't sound awful at all" she chimes in. "It sounds to me that you are trying to cover up that you did do those murders by digging him back up, and fixing what you did wrong." "But that's the thing. I never do anything wrong. I also don't strangle my victims. Cooper knows that, so when I show him that this man had died of strangulation he won't think its me who done it."

She sighs and takes the basket, "you have a point" she says. I help her load the dirty washing into the machine and turn it on to wash. Walking out of the basement with her after doing so. I stand in the living room when she places the basket of clean folded clothes onto the sofa for her mother then she grabs her keys. I smile to myself. "Let's go see Cooper" she says.
