He laid down beside Shruti on the cot and closed his eyes. But sleep was nowhere near him. His mind was just around Shruti's parents and her life ahead.
Aak: Don't think much, Rakshan. Sleep tight.
Rakshan smiled before getting into sleep due to tiredness. Aakash closed his eyes as well and slept, keeping Shruti close in his embrace.
Shruti wriggled in his embrace, as morning rays of sun hit her face. Aakash woke up, feeling her movements and saw her moving uncomfortably.
He made her lay on the bed and closed the curtains not before glaring at the sun. He felt utter stupid and felt embarassed.
Aak: why am I behaving like stupid all of a sudden?
He rubbed his beard with sheepish grin and turned to see Shruti. She hugged Rakshan in sleep and the brother and sister were sleeping peacefully.
He moved to her and kissed her forehead softly.
Aak: Good morning, chellama!
Shr: Good morning, Aakash.
Aakash looked at Shruti in shock, who muttered in sleep.
Aak: how did she recognise it was me?
He smiled a little and caressed her hair for sometime before leaving to another room to fresh up. Rakshan woke up after sometime and made a pillow wall around Shruti.
He caressed her hair and went to the kitchen after fresh up. Aakash was cooking breakfast already.
Rak: elupirukalamla da! Nee yen samachitu iruka? Ulagam nambuma? The great samrat of Malhotra empire is cooking in his fiance's kitchen.
Aak: konjam correct panniko, machan. Cooking for his wife.
Rak: thambi, ungaluku innum marriage agala.
Aak: yaaru sonna?
Rak: yenna da olara?
Aak: suspensodaye saavu!
Aakash just winked at Rakshan and took the dishes he had cooked to the dining table. Rakshan followed him.
Rak: machan, chumma ullula katiku thana sonna?
Rakshan hit his shoulder with teasing smile.
Aak: cha cha! Unmaiya than sonnan. She is my wife.
Rak: kalangathale savadikatha da!
Aak: athellam vidu. Now I am going to GH. Mostly that Mehra will have his eyes there. So, not by any chance you take chellama there. Just stay here. Avaluku pudichathu ellam cook pannirukan for lunch too. Take care of her and yourself.
Rak: dei dei nillu da!
Aakash had left the house already being deaf to his shoutings. He wore his mask and put on helmet before hopping on his KTM bike. He wore simple casuals not to attract any unwanted attention.
Shruti woke up after sometime and came out of that room after fresh up. She felt somewhat relieved after two days. Rakshan smiled, seeing her out of that room finally.
