(Y/n)'s POV:

With newfound determination, I ran out of the cave in search for the old man. Maybe he would know something about all of this. I skid to a stop to briefly see if the old man was still hanging out at his little campfire, and indeed he still is sitting there relaxing. This lead me to quickly sprint down the hill and skid into another stop. Although out of breath, I urgently asked whilst showcasing the slate, "Old man! Do you know what this is?!" his figure perks up at the slate, but I was too focused on explaining that I didn't noticed his saddening gaze, "The cave suddenly open itself and then I heard a voice, one of a girl. She gave me instruction then said that I was the new light and apparently I knew her. I...I don't know what's going on."

The old man hums, "That is a Sheikah slate. Who would've thought one was laying inside that cave. Oho~ What a revelation."

(Y/n)...(Y/n). Head to the point marked on the map in your Sheikah Slate.

"There's that voice again! I heard it again!" I hastily told the man to which he hums once more, "What did the voice said?" I recalled what she told me, "I see...Do check your Sheikah Slate for a yellow dot." I heed his words and like the voice and the old man said, there's the dot, "Oh my god, it's actually there." I whispered a bit too loudly. The old man chuckles before turning the suppose marked area, "Best you go and check it out. Maybe it will give some answer to your endeavor young hero." a raise a brow, "Are you sure it's safe?" he chuckles once again, "I couldn't be more sure. Aren't you a seasoned traveler now? Handling a few mishaps shouldn't be a problem."

With a huff, I attach the Slate on my hip, "You're right. I should get moving either way. I won't find answer if I stand idly by. Then, I'll be off!" I exclaimed with a final wave to the old man before rushing off towards the destination.

After much maneuvering to avoid Bokoblins, since I didn't want to waste precious resources, I arrived to a platform surrounded by rocks. Seeing the pedestal and how similar it is to the one in the cave, I figure it works the same and the robotic voice even confirms it for me. Thus, I place the Slate in the pedestal and then it said the following: Sheikah Tower activated. Please watch for falling rocks. "Excuse me wha-"

Said Tower begins to violently shake as well as the earth, I held onto the pedestal for dear life and felt my stomach drop when the tower suddenly moved. Long after the shaking stop which I took that as a sign to let go of the pedestal and observe what just occurred. "Whoa..." I was high up and I could see the entirety of Hyrule. I was brought back to the task at hand when I hear a sound akin to a waterdrop. When I look back, the Slate was already waiting for me to take it and take I did. When I did so, I check to see what that machine did to the Slate and discover the map of the great plateau reveal itself to me. "This is really handy...I wonder how much I can sell this for-"

(Y/n), please don't do that. The Sheikah Slate is not something to play around with.

"Ah, you're back." indeed the voice was back again, but as well as a light shining from within Hyrule castle. For some reason unknown, upon laying my eyes on it, the voice became all the more clearer. The ground suddenly shook, causing me to stumble briefly before regaining my footing. Then, the feeling in which I haven't felt for so long return, the feeling of dread.

Emerging from the castle was an ugly creature covered in red and black smokes. It could only be none other than Calamity Ganon.

It has been 100 years...The beast...When the beast regains its true power, this world will face its end.

Even at a distance I could still hear its roar along with it the light shines brighter.

Now then...You must hurry, (Y/n). Before it's too late...

After the voice disappeared, so does the beast. I felt myself tremble in fear, having seeing the very menace to the world for the first time. She expects me to face that thing? How can she possibly do that? She doesn't wield the master sword.

Figuring that staying on the tower won't help my case, I climb down the Tower and soon the sound of the old man resonates as he paraglides to me. "My, my...It would seem we have quite the enigma here. This tower and others just like it have erupted across the land, one after another." he turn to look at the tower, "It is almost as though...a long-dormant power has awoken quite suddenly." he then turns back to me, "Say (Y/n). Did anything occur while you were atop that tower?" I solemnly nod, "Yes, I heard the voice again." I stare at the castle, fearing that my suspicion had been...correct, "I think I now know what she meant by I already knew her. That voice, that light from the castle. It's princess Zelda..."

The old man sigh, staring in the same direction, "Smart one you are. It is indeed, princess Zelda in there. Although I fear one day she won't be able to fend him off for much longer. As that beast festers in there, building its strength for the moment it will unleash its blight upon the land once again. It would appear that moment is fast approaching..." my heart accelerate at the notion that Ganon is soon going to strike again and who knows just how much destruction it'll cause this time around.

"I must ask you, young hero...Do you intend to make your way to the castle?" the serious tone he held got a ball stuck in my throat. "I..." I managed. It was clear from his glance alone that he knew I was afraid, very afraid. I don't hold the spirit of the hero, I'm just a village hateno girl who decided to embark on a journey on the sly. I doubted myself because compare to Link, I'm normal. "You can answer that question another time. Now, follow me, I have something to show you."

Follow I did, and we soon stop by a ledge as he then points at a glowing shrine. My eyes widen, "It glows! It has never done that before!" the old man stuck his stick the ground with a hum, "After you activated that tower, these shrines begins to glow. I assumed you've seen multiple of them along your travel." I huff, "Sure have! There's even one in my village!"

"Hateno, am I correct?"

"Yep!"

I glance at the shrine, contemplating whether I should go in or not, "I heard there's some treasures in there." the old man softly laughs, "There are treasures in there." that quickly caught my attention and I soon made up my mind, "I can't miss out on an actual treasure. Shrine, here I come!" and thus I bolt towards the shrine.
