He felt a part of him die the moment Kurai was gone. His other half was gone and he can only live with the guilt of not being able to save that half, the one he truly cherished the most. It was gone. Kurai was gone.

Y/n stared at the person in front of her blankly as they stood in a tense and awkward silence. When she turned to leave, the other quickly held her wrist tightly as they stared at her with furrowed brows and gritted teeth.
"Y/n...Even now you can't face me or anyone else, huh? Everyone was worried about you when you suddenly disappeared and now that you're here in front of me, I can't just let you leave again without saying anything." They stared at the back of the unresponsive girl's head.
"I recall bidding farewell to everyone. So I don't understand what you mean by "can't let you leave again without saying anything"." Y/n finally said.
The other person felt goosebumps litter their skin from her voice, but they ignored it due to the anger bubbling within them at her sharp words.
"You don't understand? What kind of bullshit is that?! You did leave without saying anything because you never told us why or where! You left us in the dark to everything that happened in the past and even now you won't say anything! I don't know what's going on in your head, but you can't ignore everything around you in hopes of solving your problems!" The person yelled at Y/n.
"Y/n. We can't help you...I can't help you...No one can help you if you don't let us! You gotta get serious when it comes to taking care of your well-being and you have to realize that everyone has hardships and life is made up of tragedy! Sure, I don't understand what you've gone through and what you feel, but I won't know how to help you if you don't tell me!"
Y/n yanked her hand away from the person and sharply turned around with a cold look in her eyes, making them tense as they stood still.
"I don't need or want your help. You don't need to help me either. I don't want to tell you anything and I don't need to tell you anything. I don't want anyone's help and I'm better off doing what I have been up until now." Y/n said as the person stayed silent.
Y/n sighed as she brought one hand to her head and placed the other on her waist.
"I've finally figured out what's been causing all my headaches and my bad mood. It's everyone who doesn't understand. It's the others and you. In all honestly, people like you make me sick and irritated. You've made me realize my true feelings. I truly do hate you and I always have since we were kids, Baji." Y/n said, her cold e/c eyes clashing with his wide ones.
Baji froze as he stared at Y/n with wide eyes, tears pricking each corner. He could only watch with his mouth agape, not being able to muster out a word as Y/n turned and simply walked away, uncaring to the harsh words she had just spout out.
"Y/n..." Baji muttered as he leaned against a wall and slowly slid to the floor, hugging his knees to his chest.
"You say you hate me with that cold voice of yours... pure hate directed towards me and the others...but... why do your eyes tell me the opposite...?" He whispered, slightly sniffling as he rubbed his eyes with his sleeve.

Y/n, with a blank expression, entered the base and saw Izana, Homura, and some other Chi No Bara gang members.
"Y/n, are you alright? Are you hungry? Do you need anything?" Izana asked as Y/n plopped onto the couch.
"No." Y/n replied, staring at the ceiling. "Everything's fine. Just continue what you were doing."
