Beauty In The Dark [COMPLETED]

"I heard my father talk with your father last month. They decided to pursue our engagement. What is your say about that?" lumayo ako sa kanya ng konti at tiningnan siya sa mata. We're still dancing in the middle of the crowd.

Our engagement?

"Ahh..... How... How about you?" balik na tanong ko sa kanya. Hinila niya ako palapit at nilagay ang ulo ko sa dibdib niya. His heart beat is faster than normal.

"I'm not okay with that." umalis ako sa pagkakasandig sa dibdib niya at tumigil sa pag sasayaw. Dumaan ang sakit sa mata ko pero hindi ko pinahalata sa kanya. Ayaw niya ba?

Gumalaw siya para ipagpatuloy ang sayaw. Yumuko ako.

"I'm not okay with that because I want to court you first before we proceed on our engagement." gulat akong napatingin sa kanya. Seryoso ba siya.

"Huh..."

"Yeah.. That's why we're here because I'm going to ask you right now..."

"Ask me? About what......?"

Lumayo siya sakin ng isang metro at tumingin sa dalawang hosts namin. He look at me after, naguguluhan akong tumingin sa kanya.

Tumigil ang kanta. Nagtataka ako dahil yumuko siya sakin nang pang prinsipeng yuko bago umayos ng tayo.

"Lady Cremesia “selene” Harvestra, I, Prince Zyphyrian of imperial Palace. The next emperor wanted to ask you.........

I gasped. Everyone are very shocked on what they heard. Kung nagulat sila mas lalo naman ako. Hindi ako nag-expect na aabot kami nang ganito.

" Huh.... Wha...what?!" I feel my body trembling not because I don't want him to court me. But I'm trembling because this is too much to take. Ano 'to akala ko ba si Esperanza ang bida sa kwentong ito pero bakit ako ata ang nasa center of attention ngayon.

Napabalikwas ako nang bangon sa kinahihigaan ko.. Nasapoko ang ulo ko dahil sa pagkirot nito. Minulat ko ang mata ko... . Eh?! Anong ginagawa nina kuya dito and Hendrizson? Andito rin si Esperanza lahat ata ng royalties...Napatingin ako sa kanan ko namula ako pagkakita ko sa kanya. I can see the concern in his face.

"What happened?" panimula ko...

"Here water....Drink first.." kuya Alex handed me a glass of water.. I said thanks to him and drink.

"Did you forget what happened?" natahimik ako sa tanong ni kuya Apex... Napaiwas ako nang tingin sa kanila...

"I think we should leave you two behind...!" what.. Wait kuya Alex... I was about to ask them to stay but I feel someone hold my hand. Kahit hindi ko na tingnan alam ko na kung sino.

"Hey.. You okay?" tahimik akong tumango sa kanya at hindi makatingin.
"What's wrong? Nagulat ba kita ng husto kanina?" I face him, it's  still visible the concern in his face...

"No... I was just... Do you like me? Because you can't just ask me like tha-------"

"I do." nakagat ko ang labi ko sa diretso niyang sagot. Nilagay niya sa tenga ko ang buhok ko at ngumiti siya sakin.

"Of course I do.. I wouldn't say that thing if not.."

"But that's impossible... We just met last month.."

"Baby...... You're wrong. Bago pa tayo magkita kilala na kita. Didn't I told you our father arranged our marriage..Hindi lang pinagtuonan ng pansin dahil the council said you are not fit for the empress title. Pero bago pa mangyari ang lahat ng iyon. I'm stalking you from a far."

" What... "pero ang sabi sa kwento hindi ako ang gusto mo. Si Esperanza ang gusto mong maging empress mo.

" Believe me when I said I know you. Matagal na. I just couldn't go near you because the council  restricted me for seeing you.

"But why?..." malungkot  siyang ngumiti, hinalikan niya ang noo ko.

"Because they said you are not fit to be my empress."

"What how could they said that." he chuckled and hug me.

"Yeah.. How could they said that when you are very fit staying beside me." namula ako at mas lalong sumiksik sa leeg niya. Natawa siya.
