Chapter 4

Her eyes snapped open as the silent alarm that was once Fred and George's prank went off. Jumping out of bed fully clothed, and grabbing her camera and her bag. She tiptoed out of the dormitory and down the stairs, camera raised to capture the masterpiece.

Only it wasn't Fred or George who had set off the, well to be frank, glitter bomb. In fact there wasn't anyone there. Just as the disappointment was about to set in, a scream reverberated down the tower and then seconds later a very colorful tall man in ragged clothes came shooting out of the boys dormitory staircase. Right before he stepped over the portrait threshold, he changed. From one step to another, he shifted form from man, to a large black shaggy dog.

Snapping the bizarre scene before her, the flash off, she quickly made a snap decision. Not her best or brightest ones she'll admit.

She slipped out of the portrait hole before it closed behind the man turned dog, and followed from a distance. Because she had too, this extremely skinny dog-man was out running her. And he was winded, she could hear it.

By the time that he made it to the Whomping Willow and weaving in between its branches, she was just catching up. The only thing stopping her from huffing and puffing as she came up to the tree, and giving herself away, were her morning exercises. Which included two laps running around the lake.

She watched as he pressed his paw onto a knot on the tree trunk that made the branches still, and then made for a hole in the base of the trunk unhindered. Reaching into her bag, she pulled out a short blowgun. In the back of her mind she was lamenting over not using it for the reason that she had gotten it for, but it was for a good reason. She hoped...

Taking aim, she gave it one big blow, and the dart shot out of the other end. The canine whine told her that she had hit her mark.

Sirius groggily blinked his eyes awake, and then blinked them some more when the dawning sun light momentarily blinded him. He lifted his hand to wipe away the crustiness from his eyes. Only to find that he couldn't move his hand. Either of them. Squinting down at himself, he was horrified to find that not only had he been captured, but he had also been covered with multicolored paint and glitter from head to toe.

The giggle made his head snap up.

"Oh great," Sirius thought to himself. "It's even worse than I thought. I've been captured by a little girl." He sent up a silent prayer, wondering what he ever did to deserve this. You know, besides the obvious. "Please." Sirius thought. "Please don't let the reason that she captured me, was so that she could play Dress-Up, or Pretty-Princess, or whatever little girls like to play! Please!"

Sirius figured that he should be the first to break to silence, and curb any desire to play at the same time. He looked at her very seriously and said, "Blow dart...in my butt cheek? Really?"

She just giggled some more, before managing to compose herself. "I suppose you are wondering why I have asked you here."

"You mean brought me here." Sirius said. "You kidnapped me."

She waved her hand dismissively, "Potato, tomato."

"Those are two different plants! They don't even belong to the same food group!"

"As I was saying, I suppose you are wondering why I have brought you here."

Sirius glowered at her as she continued to ignore his questions.

"You see, I was quite distressed when I woke up tonight," she looked at the window, as though just noticing the sun was rising. "Last night. To take a picture of the two I'm in a prank war in who stumbled into their own prank. Only it wasn't them who set it off. Then, it distressed me even further when a scream pierced the calm night air, and not three seconds later, you came running down the stairs covered in the prank that was not meant for you. How do you plead?"
