Rosie wastes no time in chiming in, "I'm sticking with the music club, of course. It's my groove."
No surprises there. Rosie's passion for music is as clear as day.
"I'm aiming higher this time. After my stint as secretary last year, I'm eyeing the Vice President position in the student government council," I confidently lay out my intentions.
Sana, ever the provocateur, adds, "Why settle for Vice President, Jen? You practically have 'President' written all over you. Why not aim for the top spot?"
"I just want to dip my toes in the water, you know? Test the different roles before diving into the big one, like the presidency. It's all about gaining experience," I explained, hoping my friends would understand my perspective.
That's been my game plan from the get-go. Whether you're at the top or somewhere in between, leadership is about how you carry out your duties and your passion for guiding others.
"You'll make an amazing president, Wifey," my supportive hubby interjected with a warm smile.
"Absolutely, and I always will, Hubby. But for now, let's aim for vice president," I replied, my smile reflects my genuine enthusiasm.
Leading and serving—it's what I live for.
"And what about you, Satang? Dance club?" Irene redirected the spotlight onto Sana this time.
"Yeah, that's the plan. Nayeon and I are sticking together. You know how we roll, girls. And you, Bae?" Sana volleyed the question back at Irene.
"I've got my sights set on the student government council too. Maybe even gunning for Vice President," Irene revealed with a smirk.
"Yahhhh! Seriously? You want to go head-to-head, Bae?" I couldn't hide my disbelief.
This girl, I swear.
"Threatened, Ruby Jane?" Irene shot back, her playful smirk in place.
Ah, now she's in teasing mode. When she starts calling me "Ruby Jane," it's game on.
"Psh, threatened? Do you think I'm threatened? Bring it on, Bae. But don't come crying to me when you lose. You know me, once I'm in, I'm in to win," I retorted with a playful flick of my hair, eliciting chuckles from the girls.
"Game on, Ruby Jane," Irene muttered, her smirk stretching wider.
Is she actually serious?
"HEY! IRENE BAE! ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW?" I raised my voice in disbelief.
I'm not scared, but the thought of going head-to-head with one of the girls never crossed my mind.
"OMO, of course not, Jendeuki. I'm just messing around. You know I couldn't go up against any of you," Irene assured, breaking into giggles.
I let out a relieved sigh.
"If you were serious, I wouldn't speak to you until you got married, had a kid, turned into a grandma, and then got widowed," I teased, pouting for dramatic effect, which sent Rosie and Sana into fits of laughter.
"YAHHH! That's taking it too far!" Irene exclaimed with a pout of her own.
I couldn't help but chuckle. Just joking around.
"Don't bother pouting, Baechu. It's not a good look on you," a familiar sassy voice chimed in from behind us.
We spun around to find Nayeon, accompanied by her sister Ryujin. Oh, and I almost forgot about Chaeyoung, her cousin who's transferring here.
