i pressed the buttons on the microwave to start the popcorn, and walked back to the living room to find josh setting up the tv. "you started the popcorn?" josh asked me. "yeah, do you have any idea of what we should watch?" i said, while leaning on the couch. "no i think we should wait for y/n" he suggested.

the microwave beeped and i went to go get the popcorn, i opened it and emptied it out into a big bowl, until i heard knocking on the door and excitedly speed walked over. "look at you" josh giggled, making fun of me. "shussssshhhhh" i said, mid jog.

i opened the door and saw a smiling y/n, her nose and cheeks were riddled with a blush color, she quickly snaked her arms into my jacket and hugged me, attempting to take my warmth. "where is your jacket!" i asked her, she continued to hug me and purposefully ignored my question. she pulled away and laughed at me, then walked past me in the house.

"hey josh!" she said, setting her bag down on the floor, josh looked up and greeted her back as she sat down on the couch. "what do you wanna watch?" josh asked her. "maybe y/f/s? or we can watch spongebob or something too!" she said. i looked at her while i brought the popcorn bowl over to the table, she is truly beautiful and i hope one day things could change between us but i am just not sure she reciprocates the feelings.

i sat down on the opposite side of the couch, and looked at y/n, she was signaling me to come over to her, so i did. "im cold" she loudly whispered. "oh so you just want my heat?" i laughed, she glanced at the floor for a second before looking up, "duh." she said.

after about an hour of watching tv, i felt something on my shoulder, i looked over to see y/n resting on me, asleep. i tapped Josh's shoulder and he looked at her, then me. "dude come one she likes you." he whispered. "shes just cold, and tired" i replied, josh shook his head. "Tyler, the heat is on high, shes not cold." josh said pointing at the thermostat on the wall. i looked at her, "you are so oblivious dude, shes just saying that so she can be close to you, you know that right?" josh said, still whispering. "you check your phone for her message first thing in the morning, you blush when i talk about her, you're literally blushing right now, you swear her hugs are medicine, and i think she thinks yours are too, and i could list a hundred more reasons you guys both like each other."he got up from the couch, "im gonna call it a night, and i swear if you don't tell this girl you like her i am going to explode." he said. He walked by and stopped at me, he grabbed one side of my zip up jacket, and flipped it backwards and laid it on y/n, using it as a 'blanket' for her. "ill see you later." i told josh as he grabbed his things. "ill see you later dude, and remember what i said." he insisted.

after josh left, i contemplated telling her, but im not ready because im still scared to. why not tell her while shes asleep? it'll get it off my chest. i leaned my head back and looked at the ceiling, then closed my eyes. "god, i wish i could just get the courage to actually tell you, i wish i could just tell you that you are the most beautiful person i have and ever will met, and that i like you so much, and have for so long." i whispered, and let out a defeated sigh.

"i like you too ty." a small voice said. my head flew back to its regular position, and she sat up and looked at me, my face was deep red and my heart was pounding. "im sorry i- i didn't know you were awake." i stuttered. she smiled, "im glad i was, but you and josh aren't very quiet whisperers by the way." she laughed, "oh and josh was right, im actually very warm." she said smiling. my mouth just hung there, and she gently pushed my back to where i was laying down on the couch, and she crawled up to me and laid next to me. "may i continue to steal your warmth?" she asked jokingly, i opened my jacket up, "you may." i smiled.

she snaked her hands in my coat again, and buried her head into my chest, falling asleep quickly. we laid there all night, together.
