Her team never really knows what to do when Nysa gets like this. She has so many powers that she keeps hidden away no one knows which one will make an appearance when she gets upset. On the contrary, Halo only has three powers which he has perfect control over much to Nysa's dismay.
Sometimes, she feels that he would have coped so much better if he was the one that was born with the gifts she was.
"Okay, well, how about we take this step by step then. Before we worry about Itri, let's take away the things that aid him. The innocent people he has under his control here and his ship." Ara stated, nodding to herself.
"So how do you want to go about this?" Halo asked.
"Well, let's wait for everyone to get back to camp and then we can all discuss what to do next."
Halo nodded, pulling Charm away with him fussing over her hand while Charm only rolled her eyes shaking her head at him.
Back in the jungle, Adelaide and Fallon searched for food they can bring along on their journey. The girls were silent for the most part, it's been somewhat awkward between Adelaide and the rest of her team since her and Nysa's argument, so she's been keeping to herself just like how it used to be before she got her powers.
"So, um, are you and Nysa still not talking or. . ." Fallon asked sheepishly, catching some coconuts that the monkeys above were dropping for her.
Adelaide sighed, not really wanting to have this conversation but she knew it was coming eventually.
"No, we aren't." Adelaide answered.
"I think you were both wrong." Fallon admitted, stuffing her resources in her bags.
Adelaide rolled her eyes, "I simply want to defeat Itri so we can all go on living."
"I get that, we all want that," Fallon told her. "Nysa wasn't defending him, but she did have a point, he couldn't have been bad always but he is now. She wasn't defending him, she was defending herself."
Adelaide gave her a confused look, Fallon sighed.
"All Nysa's life, as much as her parents tried to keep her away from all the talk about her darkness, she still overheard. The questions of whether or not she'll give in to her darkness and use her magic for evil and whatnot. Nysa has to believe Itri was once good because if he was once good, she can't possibly become anything like him." Fallon explained.
Adelaide thought about it for a moment. She never saw it that way.
"Don't you see?" Fallon placed a hand on Adelaide's shoulder, "Nysa is scared, she's terrified that she will somehow give into the darkness and turn on us, and you saying what you did, taking away her hope only made her more unsure of herself. Talk to her, try to understand."
Adelaide nodded, finally getting it.
When everyone got back to camp, Ara was ready to explain their plan and how they should go about it, she was just waiting for her team to get settled and quiet down.
Adelaide made her way over to Nysa, who was poking at the fire with a stick.
"Can I talk to you?" Adelaide asked, watching Nysa's eyes widened with surprise.
"Um, sure."
The two made their way to the edge of camp, neither of them not really sure how to start the conversation. Although Adelaide wasn't much for joining the fun growing up, Nysa was one of the few she would open up to.
"I just want to say-"
"I'd like to explain-"
They both started at the same time, laughing it off.
