Adelaide backed away while the man they've all feared came to life, he weakly sat up, struggling to stand, using the wall as support. Even while hunched over, weak and tired, he was easily the largest man she has ever met.

He looked around his surroundings, confused.

"Where am I?"

It's hard for her to separate Itri from Deimos. Itri was the name they've always feared, the name they swore to get rid of, but it was the wrong name.

Deimos was the enemy, not Itri.

"You're on. . . a ship," She said breathily, staring at him with wide eyes.

He held his head, squinting in pain, "I can feel him. My brother, he's here."

"Yes, he's been using you as a power source, he's taken control over the earth."

Itri grunted, "His soul is intertwined with mine, I feel it."

"Can you separate?" Adelaide asked.

"I don't know. . . I'm weak, I don't feel right," He mumbled, swaying on his feet, "I need rest."

Adelaide shook her head, "You can't rest, not now. Itri is destroying- I mean, Deimos, he's destroying the earth as we speak, he's out there killing people and he has Nysa on his side!"

"Nysa?" He asked in confusion.

Adelaide gulped with a nod, "Nysa is the daughter of Titania, the current star keeper, she has dark magic, Deimos won her to his side."

"Why would she do such a thing?" He asked in disappointment.

"For you."

"Me?"

Adelaide nodded, "She's. . . she's your mate. Deimos gave her a choice, save the world or you and she chose you."

Itri stood completely still, staring at nothing in particular.

"I have a mate," He stated, trying to come to terms with all this knowledge. He thought for a long time, before meeting my gaze.

"Take me to her."

Adelaide agreed, but she stopped, turning back to him, remembering that at this moment, she can change the future, something no one has been able to do, "I will, but first, we need to do something."

Outside, it was a war zone. There was smoke everywhere, dead bodies scattered across the ground, wolves were growling, aeterians remained fighting but something has changed.

Ara and Nysa continued to fight but Nysa was starting to win. Ara was bloody and bruised trying to give Adelaide as much time as possible but she knew she was tiring out. After Nysa's last blow, Ara struggled to stand, she was limping and Nysa knew she had won.

"I don't want to kill you Ara," Nysa told her, watching her gasp for air while clutching her side.

"Then don't, Nysa," She said weakly.

Nysa raised her hands lifting Ara into the air, following suit so they could be eye to eye, "I won't let you kill my mate."

Ara closed her eyes, tired of explaining to Nysa that they're trying to help him. She isn't comprehending that and Ara has given up. Before she can say anything else, Nysa was attacked from the side dropping Ara in the process.

Halo growled, holding his sister down, "What the fuck are you doing, Nysa?"

"Let me go!"

Halo held his sister down but she threw him back with her powers, gaining control once more, but Halo was quick to pin his sister back down, his claws digging into her sides.
