Watching as the young omega leaves the pub, James can't help but find something interesting about the young man. He doesn't think he's ever seen him around here before, which means that he must be quite new to the area. And he won't lie, he finds himself rather infatuated by him.
Which is really something he shouldn't be, considering his two longtime partners and mates are both sitting right next to him, completely oblivious to the young omega that had been watching them since they had entered the pub. But he just can't help it. As much as he is very happy with Jeremy and Richard, he just can't seem to ignore how gorgeous the young man looked. And how interested he'd be to have the young omega join their pack.
He's never had the desire for a fourth to join the three of them, but now.... Now he finds himself considering it. However, he's not sure what Jeremy and Richard would think of the idea, Richard in particular, considering his status as an omega. One that unfortunately has fertility issues. He'd hate to make Richard feel as though he's not good enough for them anymore because he's unable to give them children. Doesn't want Richard to think that he wants to replace him with a much younger omega that could very well be able to give him and Jeremy children.
He'd hate to make Richard feel like he's no longer good enough.
"What are you staring at, May?" Jeremy asks, pulling James's attention away from the young omega exiting the pub.
And his thoughts about what it might possibly be like to add a fourth to their little pack, because there's just something about that young omega that has him very interested. Interested in the young man - whoever he may be - and having him join them... in a way that won't make Richard feel as though they're trying to replace him....
Sighing, James shakes his head. "Nothing. Just thinking of something stupid."
It probably is a stupid idea. The three of them fit perfectly as a trio. They don't have a need to add a fourth to the mix, and certainly not someone they don't even know, and who is probably much younger than then. That might raise a few eyebrows if they were to add a much younger person to their pack. And considering Richard's fertility issues, it might get people believing that they're trying to replace him with a much younger omega who doesn't have any. And it might make Richard feel that way too.
"Come on, James." Richard says. "What's this stupid idea you've got this time?"
"It's not got anything to do with that omega that was sitting at the table next to us, does it?" Jeremy asks.
This question takes James by surprise, considering he didn't think that Jeremy had noticed him also. He had thought he was too busy bickering with Richard to notice. Although, Jeremy is a lot more observant than some would think, so maybe James shouldn't be too surprised that Jeremy has noticed the young man too. Then there's the fact that the young man's scent was considerably intriguing, so there's another reason it shouldn't be too surprising that Jeremy had noticed him.
However, one glance at Richard tells James that he hadn't noticed the omega as he shifts around in his seat uncomfortably.
"W-well... yes, actually." James says carefully, considering Richard's visible uncomfortableness. "You noticed him too?"
Jeremy nods. "Why do you think I led us over to this table?"
Well now, that explains why they didn't go to their usual seats....
"You made us sit here just because there was a younger omega sitting alone at the table next to us?" Richard asks, sounding rather upset at this revelation.
James doesn't miss the way Richard had said "younger omega". And he definitely doesn't like the implication it gives as to how Richard feels about the fact that both he and Jeremy had noticed him.
