Suddenly the firing stopped and the ship went still.

That's when Halo's face paled, "Charm."

Everyone seemed to freeze in that moment, waiting for something to happen. If Charm disabled the weapons then they know what is supposed to happen next, it was foretold. Halo's eyes darkened and he glared hatefully at Nysa.

Quickly, unexpectedly, Halo punched his sister so hard in the face a crack sounded throughout the air.

The team tensed, moving closer together watching Nysa fly into the air with the darkest glare on her once kind face. Her face was already healing, her dark magic flowing behind her, she was doing this for her mate, she was trying to save him and no one understood. It wasn't just her team that lost, it was her too.

"Our entire lives led us to this moment, only for us to lose in the end. We aren't a team, a family, we never were. We are just a bunch of puzzle pieces that were forced together but don't really fit," Nysa announced painfully, watching the damage that Itri has brought onto this world, that she has brought.

When it was all said and done, they all agreed, they were never meant to win. They watched as the world around them burned, a world they fought so hard to protect. In the distance, a tall figure stood with pride watching his chaos morph into victory, there was nothing left for him to do but watch his enemies perish in the flames. . .

Or so he thought.

But something has changed, something was different and history has been rewritten.

Rising from behind the ship, a man flew into the air while beneath it, two girls emerged, unscathed and sprinting towards their team.

Adelaide and Charm.

The girl's saw Ara lying lifelessly on the ground and joined their team in trying to help her.

"Nysa," The man flew closer to the child of darkness, his pale green eyes watching her intently, waiting for her to notice him.

Everyone stopped and stared at the two up above, waiting, listening.

Nysa noticed him immediately and was stunned into silence. He grabbed her hand and led them back onto the ground while she just stared at him in complete and utter shock, not believing her eyes.

"It's you," She whispered, slowly reaching her hand up to caress his face.

"I'm not who you think I am," He told her, "My brother's soul, his memories, they've merged with my own."

"Itri," She growled, surprising him.

"No," He shook his head, "Deimos is my brother, the one who has hurt this world, hurt you. My name is Itri."

She backed away from him as if his touch burned her. How can this be Itri, her mate? She doesn't believe it, Itri is playing with her somehow, it can't be true.

"He's telling the truth," Adelaide cautiously made her way to Nysa, putting a gentle hand on her shoulder, "This is Itri, I've seen his memories. He's good, Nysa."

The team looked at each other skeptically.

"Please, trust me," Adelaide begged Nysa with her eyes, hoping her friend would come back.

Nysa took a tentative step towards her mate, Itri, and he smiled down at her, his eyes already shining with care toward her.

"I understand you've been hurt, but I'm here now and I'm ready to get rid of my brother and end his wrath on this universe, but I need your help."

"What can I do?" Nysa asked, the guilt and shame already sinking in at all the things she was willing to do to save her mate.

"Share you power with me to release my brother from my mind, together we can send him to the confinement constellation once and for all," He told her softly, taking her hand in his just so he can feel the sparks between them once more.
