Do you miss it

I was all in and committed 

thought you would change but you didn't

a song I love once said

I didn't mean for it to become our hymn

our theme song

I meant for us to hold

to glow for long.

But there was barely anything

makes it special

I thought 

gave words of love meaning

I thought

unsureness grew but I held on.

I told myself it was fine

ups and downs are as natural

as our feelings had been once

but our down seems more and more like a cliff

and the wings I promised to grow 

I'm afraid they won't hold all the way

if you aren't there
