NICO
sitting across from Leo feels like sitting across from a mosaic.
the little Nico knows of his past is dark, and cruel. yet, he is a genuinely kind person.
he's a mosaic, made up of pain, love, grief, anger, beauty, kindness, genius and humor.
as Nico studies Leo, he studies their surrounding, looking for threats.
then, his amber eyes land on him, Leo's mess of dark curly hair glows in the sunlight streaming in the window, his face soft, contrast to his usual tight expression when he's working on one of his projects.
he tilts his head, eyes glowing asking him "what? do I have something on my face?"
Nico rolls his eyes saying "no, you just seem, different."
Leo's eyes study him for a few seconds before he hums, looking towards the kitchen, waiting for their breakfast.
Nico sighs, content with the moment asks "what are you thinking about?"
Leo turns his attention back to him saying "I could ask you the same thing, Bat boy."
Nico raises a brow "Bat boy?"
Leo smiles "the first time I saw you I thought that your hair looked like little bat wings."
Nico chuckles, a small smile playing on his lips. "really?"
Leo nods asking "what was the first thing you noticed about me?"
Nico hums saying "the way your brows cress when your trying to script your words before saying them, and your grin."
as if on command Leo grins asking "huh, so what do you like about my grin?"
Nico says honestly "when it's real, not just a reflex."
Leo's expression tighten slightly, his eyes darken and his smile fades slightly.
Nico "when I first saw you, I knew you were hiding behind a mask, just like me. I didn't put much thought into it.." Leo's face drops more but Nico continues
"but then one night, you came bursting into the dining hall, a genuine grin across your face from completing something. I could never forget the look of happiness on your face."
Leo smiles.
not the grin that normally adorns his face like a disguise, hiding the fire burning brightly in his eyes.
this one is soft, small, genuine.
Nico asks "so how are we going to fill this guy's life with LGBTQ+A stuff?"
Leo's eyes glisten mischievously as he says "we wait for him to leave, and once we're sure that he'll be gone long enough, we break in and just do a few quick searches on his devices and then he'll be bombarded with ad's."
Nico frowns "that's all?"
Leo laughs "of course not, that's just the start of it. we need to ease him into madness, not try to throw him in the deep end."
