THE QUINTESSON WARS
The war was brief, with many colonies quarantining from Cybertron by shutting down their space bridges, and stationing what militias they could muster for defense. This left Cybertron and its two moons to fend for itself. Somnus heeding the words of Magnaboss would muster an army, and would attempt to fight back against the quintessons. When the invaders made planetfall they fought for every energon soaked inch of ground. Somnus led from the front atop his massive warmount, a Predacon Dragon, which he had been cloning in secret should he need to ride to war. The Quintessons fought with three classes of life-form.
Class A: Plaintiff : These are the lowest on their chain of command. Being grunt infantry that converted into mindless beasts. Sharkticons were the troops while Allicons were squad leaders. For support they had Prosecutors, which were squid-like fliers who would exclusively fight in the melee.
Class B: Bailiff : These were bipedal Cybertronians armed with heavier weapons and given the role of following the initial waves of Plaintiffs. They carried a hammer that would convert into a missile launcher, and they could also be used as flanking troops to hit vital areas of a formation.
Class C: Justice : these are the leaders of everything, each 'justice' has separate personalities that control a separate face. Most have five, while some have three. They are physically pathetic having merely tentacles for arms, and an anti-gravity unit for what could be considered 'legs'. Another kind of quintesson, an aid, had one face but additional tentacles for manipulating things. Most of the C class prefer to use their minds, and words to do business with the galaxy.
War covered the planet, and in the matter of deca-cycles all resistance was quelled, and Somnus was forced to sue for peace. The terms were an atrocity in of themselves, they were to be a new slave labor force, and act as transports for their new masters. New city sized factories were constructed and populated. New terrible weapons were built for their masters, and some Cybertronians were forced to undergo a barbaric process called Empurata. What it would do is replace their heads with faceless ones, as well as clamped hands so that they could only toil away with labor. This procedure drove the subjects to madness, and this would lead those who were stuck with this to be soldiers. A wave of unarmed war machines to act as living shields to the Quintessons armies.
During the last battle Magnaboss had gone missing, and was not seen for sometime. This changed when the attack began, and it would be here that a guerilla war would be fought. Magnaboss was a one machine army, and he knew it. His acts of rebellion would inspire others to revolt against their oppressors. Somnus would be told to denounce those attacking their overlords on threats of entire cities being destroyed. This would lead to his willingness to leave the title of prime behind as he publicly killed himself in order to help light the fire of rebellion. Upon his deactivation, a team of infiltrating rebels broke into his estate, and stole several relics including the Apex Armor.
It took stellar cycles, but eventually an entire underground network had been formed. Early in the campaign their ranks were joined by a pair of wandering warriors who had also been fighting a hidden war. Their names were Galvatron, and Cryotek. The former had been forced into service with the Quintesson army, and survived every single warzone they threw him in. The latter resembled what Somnus had been before the occupation; Magnaboss took notice of this, and began to prepare them for taking the role of leader. Galvatron supported his sibling in arms as if they were family, no jealousy crossed his mind at any point. The three began to organize more bold attacks against their occupiers, but little changed outside of their title of terrorists. They had another name though, The Rise.
The Rises first major victory came at the liberation of a maximum security prison known as Tiger Pax. They freed hundreds of rebels, decenters, and political prisoners swelling their numbers by a considerable amount. Among them was a team of six Cybertronians that all spoke with one voice; they had been given many names, but the one they preferred was Infernicus. And they were the first big victory, when combined the six were able to survive most weapons that would obliterate most. Sure, it would knock them out of the fight until their body repaired, but it wouldn't be long. It was as if their spark could not be extinguished, this made them a centerpiece in most assaults. Since it was such a big operation, The Rise would lay low for several deca-cycles until finally making a big push. The first city they liberated was Iacon, as to secure its space ports and archives. A thorough shock to the Quintessons system, but they could not afford to wait. Cryotek, Magnaboss, and Galvatron fought side by side during the siege. With Cryotek demonstrating his willingness to sacrifice themselves when he dived in the way of a near fatal attack to save Magnaboss. Upon the battle's conclusion, the trio sought out Somnus's estate as the one thing the infiltrators did not snag was the Matrix.
