Y/N's POV

I was growing so much closer to Anthony in this past week. I was trying to decide still if I liked it or hated it. I spent my entire life absolutely despising him, but now I don't feel any sort of hate towards him. I actually kind of am starting to enjoy his annoying presence. But... I shouldn't be enjoying it. I should still be hating it. I'm supposed to be sabotaging him. Instead from now on, I think I'll just start focusing a bit more on the others.
I'm still at the Larusso's house, since we have been working on our science project all day. We just spent a pleasant amount of time on the roof, sharing different things about ourselves. Then, Amanda came in to remind us of dinner while we were coming back inside and it got awkward really quickly. We walked downstairs in complete silence. Anthony didn't look at me once, his cheeks were rosy and he was continuously picking at the cuticles on his finger tips. Chosen and Johnny ate dinner with us today, which was definitely interesting. Chosen was excited because he's going to be finally joining karate lessons again on Sunday morning, since most of his injuries were healed. Well, healed enough anyway. Plus someone named Kumiko is flying in tomorrow, and he wouldn't stop talking about it. I stayed silent for basically the entire dinner, until towards the end. Daniel must've noticed that I looked bored and that I was awfully quiet. So, he attempted to make conversation with me once again.
"So, Y/N, how is freshman year going for you?" He asked.
"Good, I guess."
"Do you like all of your classes?"
"Yes, except for math. I just have a difficult time with it."
"Oh, well tomorrow morning Anthony is going to Saturday school for Algebra tutoring. Why don't you come along? I can pick you up too."
"Thank you Mr. Larusso, but I-"
"Pick me up on the way too man, I gotta go over there tomorrow to try to get Robby enrolled in school again," Johnny said interrupting him.
"I thought he was already enrolled? I see him there every morning." I said.
"No, ever since him and his girlfriend got back together and him and Miguel get along now, he's been taking them to school everyday."
I nodded my head, letting him know that I understood.
"Johnny why can't you just dri- okay, whatever, sure I'll pick you up... Anyways Y/N, I don't mind at all, where do you live?" Daniel continued.
"Um... I live a little far. I can skateboard to bus stop 57 and you can just pick me up from there."
I couldn't let any of them actually come near my house. What if they saw my uncle? It was just way too risky. I couldn't ruin the plan already.
Daniel paused for a moment and cleared his throat before speaking to me again, "Bus stop 57 is in Reseda right?"
Everyone stopped eating and looked at me. I instantly regretted speaking, they all probably assumed that I live in a wealthy area like they did. Or they're just growing suspicious of me now. Stereotypical of them to do so.
"On the border of it, yes." I tried to pretend like I didn't notice everyone staring.
"So, Y/N, have you done any other sports besides karate?" Amanda said. She was clearly trying to break the awkwardness and get to know me better.
"Well I did swimming for a little while when I was younger, but not for long."
"Oh why not, you didn't like it?" She asked.
"I did, but I couldn't continue it. I have breathing issues."
     "Aw, asthma?" Daniel asked.
"No actually, I was born prematurely so my lungs aren't fully developed..." I scoffed, "Can't hold my breathe for very long," I joked.
It turned into an awkward silence again full of stares. Fuck, I said too much again. I couldn't bare to sit here for much longer while this was going on. I excused myself and walked to the bathroom without making it obvious that I felt uncomfortable. As soon as I got in there I turned on the faucet and held my ear up to the door. All I heard was muffles, but I was able to make out words every once in a while. 'Reseda?' 'Have you ever seen her there?' then Anthony chimed in, or at least it sounded like it. 'She also told me earlier that her mom...' 'She doesn't know her dad.' 'When we went shopping the other day she said...' etc. Oh great, he was telling everyone my business. I take it back, I am starting to slowly despise him again.
I waited a few minutes until the loud whispers turned into a regular conversation again. I walked out of the bathroom slowly, trying not to draw any sort of attention to myself again. I sat down with them for the rest of dinner and finished eating. Nobody really spoke to me again after that.
Just like last week, I helped Amanda clean the dishes and tidy the kitchen. I could easily see that I was getting on her good side by doing things like this. Then, I told her goodbye and Anthony walked me out to the front yard where I would depart on my skateboard. It was silent as we walked outside, for the first time. Which is the first time that Anthony hasn't been talking my ear off. I could see in his face that he was thinking of something to say. I would ask what it is, but I was still annoyed with him. He opened his mouth as if he was going to let words out, until we heard a loud slam at the door. It was Sam, walking towards us.
"Hey, sorry to interrupt. But, Anthony, can I talk to Y/N alone for a sec?" She asked. This time she didn't have an attitude nor sound manipulative. She sounded sincere.
He simply nodded his head, "I'll see you tomorrow, text me when you're home," He pat me on the shoulder before walking back into his house.
I accidentally gave her a dirty look without realizing it, so when her eyes met mine she looked uncomfortable. "I feel like we haven't gotten to know each other very well yet. I mean- you and my brother seem like you're getting to be pretty close now so... how about on Sunday, you hangout here after karate practice? I invited Tory and Devon as well, and we're all going to get ready together for the banquet. I want you to join us." She smiled.
I thought about it for a second, but it sounds like fucking torture. I already didn't want to get dressed up for this nauseating event. Being with Sam alone was already a headache, I just don't even want to think about being with two other former Cobra Kai's who betrayed my uncle. Even though Devon didn't attend while my uncle was in charge, she still is partly responsible for allowing Silver to become a true villain.
"I don't think I'm even going, I don't have anything to wear," I said, trying to think of an excuse.
She then raised her eyebrows at me and smiled suspiciously. "Don't worry about that, you can... borrow something of mine!"
She really wasn't going to quit, was she?
I took a deep breath, "Okay, it sounds fun. Thanks." I fake smiled.
She continued to grin, "Be safe Y/N, I'll see you soon."
I waved her goodbye as she walked away, and rode off back home.
